Relative to the prosperity of Queenstown, I prefer Wanaka's peace and quiet. It is hidden between Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea and the Southern Alps. It is a dream town like a paradise. Walking in the windy and sunny days, strolling along the pebble beach, listening to the lake's sloppy, deciduous sand, even doing nothing, looking at the lonely tree in a daze, is a pleasant thing. Wanaka is the place I have been most obsessed with, because in addition to completely letting go of my own self, listening to the voice of my heart, I also understand that doing nothing can be so justified, people can not help but be drunk in time.
