Weihai or Jeju Island, which one to choose?

Summarizing my personal feelings about these two places: Weihai—the king of cost performance, Jeju Island—the god of atmosphere. 🔹Weihai (p2-7) As a small and beautiful coastal city, the prices are not high, and the city parks are right by the sea. You don't have to spend a lot of money to go to tropical or foreign places for vacation to see the sea. You can also experience Korean culture. It is probably the most cost-effective treasure place to see the sea in the north. A few years ago, the prices here shocked me. Two people could eat a seafood barbecue until full for just over 100 yuan, and Atour Hotel was 200 yuan per night on weekends... Although there have been many complaints about rising prices in recent years, it is still cost-effective compared to other tourist cities. When I went there before, it was autumn. The sea in Shandong that I saw was always a wide expanse of blue, calm and with few waves, with a sense of depth. It felt more like a reliable and close friend, silently healing you with its calm charm. 🍴There are various restaurant choices, including authentic Korean food, seafood, and Chinese food, so you don't have to worry too much about not getting used to the food. 🛍️Weihai has a Korean town and some foreign trade shops where you can buy Korean goods (but the Korean town closes early). 🚗It is easy to get a Didi to various beaches or attractions, and the cost is not high. 🔹Jeju Island (p8-14) Every corner and every scenery of Jeju Island is filled with a strong Korean drama filter—actually, aside from these, many places on the island are just ordinary small fishing villages. But as a visa-free destination, it has a low threshold and is friendly to first-time travelers or students going abroad. Moreover, Chinese is widely spoken, and English is also quite fluent, so there are few communication barriers in daily life. The island's clear jelly-like sea can be seen everywhere, accompanied by the sparkling light created by the sun, and there are chill-style coffee shops every three steps, exuding a strong Korean atmosphere. In Jeju Island, enjoying afternoon tea and a beautiful sea view at the same time is the simplest thing, but with the added thought of "being abroad," you can gain greater happiness and a new life experience. 🍴Mainly Korean food, with some Chinese food (but it may not be very authentic), which can be a bit challenging for Chinese stomachs and those who don't eat spicy food. Prices are comparable to first-tier cities in China, and good seafood can be even more expensive. 🛍️There are duty-free shops in the city, and there are more choices for buying local clothing, Korean cosmetics, snacks, and K-pop merchandise. 🚗The bus system is developed and convenient, but it takes time to get to the beach and tests your language skills. If you have many places to visit, renting a car or carpooling is more convenient; taxis are relatively expensive, and there are cases of drivers overcharging; renting a car requires an international driver's license. In fact, it is difficult to compare these two places horizontally. I can only list as many points as I can think of; as for how to choose, it still depends on personal preferences and circumstances.
