Dali·Weishan Ancient City

Weishan Ancient City was built in the 23rd year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty. The ancient city is square like a seal, with clear streets and lanes. It has completely preserved the chessboard-style ancient city layout and historical architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and is one of the best preserved Ming and Qing architectural groups in China. This is the birthplace of the ancient capital of Nanshao, a "living ancient city" full of life and cultural charm, and was rated as a national historical and cultural city in 1994. It is very convenient to go to Weishan from Dali. It takes about 20 minutes by high-speed rail. Compared with Dali and Xizhou, there is no particular commercialization here, and there are not many tourists. The slow-paced experience is very good.
