Bikou ancient town was built along the Bailong River, and by the end of the Ming Dynasty at the latest, Bikou began to gather as a town. The ancestors of the townspeople migrated here from Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Huguang, and after a period of development, Bikou became an important ancient port. Their goal was of course the timber and medicinal materials deep in the mountains, and the Bailong River was a natural transportation channel. Bikou became the final destination for these entrepreneurs and their descendants.
