The Shuiyun Cave of Changyu Dongtian can make you shiver even in the hot summer

Changyu Dongtian in Wenling is a national 4A-level scenic spot and a rare summer resort in Zhejiang Province. Among the various attractions in Changyu Dongtian, the most magnificent is Guanshi Cave, while the best for cooling off is Shuiyun Cave. Shuiyun Cave is more than 600 meters away from Guanshi Cave, located on the west side of Shuangmen Grottoes. If you keep climbing up from Shuiyun Cave without turning back, you can reach the Shuangmen Grottoes scenic area directly. Shuiyun Cave consists of 52 cave bodies, including 6 sky caves and 8 water caves. As soon as you enter the cave entrance, bursts of cool air rush towards you, making lightly dressed tourists shiver. The passage connecting the cave halls is dark, damp, and cold, with the sound of spring water tinkling from time to time. On both sides of the passage, there are several water caves. The water is clear and cool, giving a sense of unfathomable depth. Under the dim light, it emits a charming yet terrifying green glow. The temperature here is about ten degrees lower than outside. After walking through the deep passage, the view suddenly opens up, and the first cave hall 'Cave Heaven and Blessed Land' appears. It has the grandeur and magnificence of Guanshi Cave but with a touch of softness. No wonder 'The Return of the Condor Heroes' and 'The Deer and the Cauldron' chose to film here. Due to years of water seepage along the rock walls, iron and manganese solutions seep through rock cracks, depositing and forming colored halos, creating two natural murals of plum stumps and willow branches. Standing over 100 meters tall, it is a wonder within the cave. Visitors here can't help but wonder: is this naturally formed or the work of an artist? A poem reads, 'Millions of years form an immortal body, the iron spirit of coiled dragons and twisted iron. Old plum blossoms scent the world, intoxicating travelers with clear songs.' The answer can be found within. Inside Shuiyun Cave is the China Stone Culture Museum, the largest cave museum in China. It comprehensively introduces various stone mining methods and cave distributions. On one side of 'Cave Heaven and Blessed Land,' there are steep steps leading to the top of the cave, connecting to the Shuangmen Grottoes. Many tourists, including myself, were deterred and turned back midway, missing the exhibitions of strange stones and stone carvings above. When the scenic shuttle bus drops everyone off at the Shuangmen Grottoes stop, we find a long staircase stretching ahead.
