Wenzhou Museum: Encounter between Dong'ou and Kucha—Cultural Symphony on the Silk Road Exhibition

Coinciding with the Encounter between Dong'ou and Kucha—Cultural Symphony on the Silk Road exhibition officially opening at the temporary exhibition hall of Wenzhou Museum. This exhibition brings together more than 80 exhibits, including modern mural reproductions and artifacts made of ceramics, paper, metal, coins, bricks, and tiles, as well as modern arts and crafts. It connects the cultural exchange and dialogue between Kucha and Dong'ou, the land and maritime Silk Road civilizations, and the inheritance and innovation of the Silk Road spirit in modern times. 2024 marks the tenth anniversary of the successful transnational application for the World Heritage status of the 'Silk Roads: the Routes Network of Chang'an-Tianshan Corridor.' The spirit of the Silk Road still shines brightly today. The ancient city of Kucha and Wenzhou Dou City, located at the eastern and western ends of mainland China, respectively, serve as important transportation hubs of the land and maritime Silk Roads, witnessing the symbiosis and prosperity of ancient civilizations through exchange and mutual learning. To further deepen the paired construction between Wenzhou City and Baicheng County, the launch of this Silk Road-themed exhibition strengthens the cultural ties between Wenzhou and Baicheng, supporting the Strong City Initiative and enriching the cultural and happy Wenzhou.
