A Wonderful Time at the Museum

Of the many exhibition halls in the museum, the first one I entered was the History Hall. With the theme of "Wenzhou People", the hall vividly showcases the development of Wenzhou from ancient times to the modern era through four sections: "The Kingdom of Dong'ou", "Dong'ou under the Central Dynasty", "After the Opening of the Port", and "Today's Wenzhou". Looking at the precious cultural relics and historical photos, I felt as if I had traveled through time and witnessed the great changes in Wenzhou with my own eyes. Next, I went to the Painting and Calligraphy Hall. The works on display here are mainly fine paintings and calligraphy from the museum's collection, supplemented by excellent works by Wenzhou painters and calligraphers from various periods. I stopped in front of the exquisite paintings and calligraphy works, savoring the charm and artistic conception of the brush and ink. The long scroll of calligraphy from the Tang Dynasty, the works of Ren Daoxun and Wang Shouren from the Ming Dynasty, and the paintings of Zhu Da and Hua Yan from the Qing Dynasty all fascinated me and made me linger. The Ceramics Hall also left a deep impression on me. The exhibition is divided into sections according to the development of ceramics, showcasing the evolution of Wenzhou ceramics from ancient times to the modern era. The exquisite celadon works of Ou Kiln, with their unique shapes and exquisite craftsmanship, made me feel the wisdom and craftsmanship of ancient craftsmen.
