St George's Chapel

In one corner of the castle is a chapel built in 1475. It is a typical Gothic building, tall and magnificent, simple and spectacular. It is second only to Westminster Abbey in London. Since the 18th century, successive British monarchs have been buried here. In addition, there are many tombs of royal family members. The chapel is named after the Queen's father, George VI. The funeral of Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, was also held here. Queen Elizabeth II is also buried in this chapel.
