Dawavillage is hidden deep in the Taihang Mountains of Shexian County. 📍Dawavillage is located in the eastern part of Gengle Town, Shexian County, covering an area of 25 square kilometers. - 🌟Legend has it that during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, a family with the surname Zhang chose to live in seclusion here and has since proliferated through the generations. According to the 'old case' (family tree), it has been passed down for 28 generations. This village has never had people with other surnames settle here; it is a family-style village. - ✅Due to the geographical environment, the land area in the village is very small. Farmers can only build their houses halfway up the mountain, following the terrain. The main material for construction is stone, which the villagers collect from the mountains. Like building blocks, they stack the stones to create paths, high dams, and houses, resembling a 'Stone Kingdom' from a fairy tale. - ✅Over 60% of the stone houses in the village are well-preserved, with only a small portion being renovated or rebuilt.
