Having lived in Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture for two or three years, I have almost traveled all over the surrounding prefectures and counties. It really is the city I like the most and long for the most, suitable for settling down and retirement, with most of the people being simple, sincere, and hospitable. There are many ethnic minorities, and the festive atmosphere is also very strong. Mang City is the capital of Dehong Prefecture, and it is the only city in China with a single-character name, located in the western part of Yunnan, with a tropical climate, unique Southeast Asian charm, convenient transportation, and a small city size, making taxi rides super convenient. Some cities can be reached directly by plane or via a transfer in Kunming. 🔎 Attractions: Menghuan Golden Pagoda💥 Menghuan Silver Pagoda The Golden Pagoda is China's first golden Buddha pagoda and Asia's first hollow Buddha pagoda. It is the iconic building of Mang City, majestic and sacred. The Golden Pagoda overlooks the entire city, and the two pagodas are very close to each other. The Silver Pagoda is very suitable for taking pictures. When I went there last year, I found that the scenic spot had been improved and became more perfect. Taking pictures at the Silver Pagoda during the sunset is absolutely amazing. 🔍 Cuisine: 🍧🍹🍛 Yunnan's taste is sour and spicy, highly recommend for those who love sour and spicy to try chicken feet in pickling brine, sapie, pounded vegetables, ganba, thin bean powder, ersi, brine rice noodles, juanfen, and barbecued fish (well-marinated) grilled beef tendon👍 and so on. Lemon water is also great～ and tropical fruits are cheap and delicious🍉🍇🍍 Recommended route: Since Mang City is very small, you can almost finish touring it in one or two days, so if you want to travel to Dehong Prefecture, it is suggested to visit Yingjiang (to experience the sea of flowers) after arriving in Mang City, then Ruili (jade, one village two countries), and finally Tengchong (ginkgo, hot springs, ancient town highly recommended) by bus🚌.
