The family has a reputation for producing numerous successful candidates in the imperial examinations, including seven provincial governors, eight vice ministers, and nine officials of the Guanglu Temple, as well as three Hanlin academicians, five advisors, and ten generations of national officials. From the tenth-generation ancestor, Grand Master Wu Yongyun, to the nineteenth-generation grandson, Zhongxian Grand Master Wu Xun, the family produced 20 tribute scholars and 9 jinshi. The family seal reads "A family of jinshi across generations".
