The largest and most beautiful park in Hankou - Liberation Park

Liberation Park is located at No. 1153, Jiefang Avenue, Jiang'an District, and was built in 1955, coinciding with the sixth anniversary of Wuhan's liberation, hence it was named 'Liberation Park', which is the largest natural ecological park in Wuhan city area. The overall style of Liberation Park belongs to modern gardens. Hidden in the greenery of the park are a slender monument and several tombs, which were built specifically to commemorate the Soviet Air Force martyrs who came to China to participate in the war of resistance and sacrificed. The park is full of lush trees, green grass, mountains and waters, and birds and flowers. The eastern part of the park has a green square, a bonsai garden, a lotus pond, a water lily pond, Chaomei Ridge, and the tomb of the Air Force Volunteer Martyrs; the western part is the willow forest area of about 13 hectares, which now preserves thousands of tall poplars, arrow pole poplars, and white poplars. Xiaochun Pavilion, Luhua Terrace, Yiting, and Shoushi Pavilion were built in the forest for tourists to rest. The lake view belt of Liberation Park is the best scenery. It is like a green belt surrounding the entire park, forming a garden greening center with lake water as its feature. Tourists walk around the lake or boat along the lake, which is really pleasing to the eye. There is a Chinese Famous Tower Garden in the park, which was established in 1991 and is located on the island in the center of Liberation Park Lake. The island is full of lush trees and has a quiet environment, covering an area of 20 acres. There are 54 miniature replicas of famous ancient towers from all over China in the garden, distributed in various parts of the garden, so you can 'see all' the famous towers of China in one day. The most meaningful place in this park is that it has witnessed the modern history of Wuhan for a hundred years.
