Amazing architecture: Myanmar-style temple in Wuhan

#traveldiaries #china Such a surprise to discover this Buddhist temple built in the architectural style of Indian and Burmese temples. The Gude temple has a history of more than 140 years, and is unique in combining features of the Christian church, the Islamic mosque and the architecture of Ancient Greece. The temple is even more striking due to the high-rise modern blocks surrounding it, which offers a fascinating contrast. 📍Address: 29 Gong Nong Bing Lu, Jiang’an District, Wuhan, Hubei, China. Getting there: take the metro to Toudao Road station, it’s a short walk from there.
