It is not only a witness to history, but also an important base for patriotic education, attracting countless people to visit, remember the martyrs, and carry forward the spirit. Entering the memorial hall, the first thing that comes into view is the two-story Western-style small building. It was once the home of Professor Zhu Shuibin, the director of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University and a doctor from the United States. It later became an important command post for the Sixth Division of the New Fourth Army to fight against Japan in the eastern part of southern Jiangsu. The small building maintains the appearance, structure and style of the year, surrounded by rivers on the west and south, shaded by green trees, and the environment is elegant, as if time is still here, allowing people to instantly travel back to the years of war. The layout of the museum is reasonable and the exhibits are rich. The second floor restores the scenes of the division's conference room, division leader's office and rest room, making people feel as if they are in a tense and orderly fighting atmosphere. At the same time, the museum also has a special exhibition room for "New Fourth Army in Wuxi", which vividly reproduces the heroic anti-Japanese course of the Sixth Division of the New Fourth Army in Wuxi through precious cultural relics, photos and objects. From Ye Fei's surprise attack on the Japanese puppet army, to Tan Zhenlin's westward advance to Wuxi, to the arduous struggle of the Sixth Division of the New Fourth Army in the Xibei area, every historical event is recorded in detail, and every hero is remembered with deep affection. During the visit, I was deeply shocked by the bravery and tenacity of the officers and soldiers of the Sixth Division of the New Fourth Army. Under extremely difficult conditions, they can still persist in the struggle and defend their homes. How great and noble is this spiritual power! At the same time, I was also moved by the dedication of the staff of the memorial hall. They patiently explain the story behind each exhibit, allowing visitors to understand history more deeply and feel the power of the revolutionary spirit. Walking out of the memorial hall, my mood could not calm down for a long time. The former site of the Sixth Division of the New Fourth Army is not only a historical site, but also a spiritual hall.
