In Jiangxi Wuyuan, I really found a secluded ancient village (with travel tips)

🚖Here, there are no traffic jams or queues, only local villagers and a handful of tourists; no noisy streams of cars and people, just the babbling brook and chirping birds; no commercialized internet-famous restaurants, only a few farm meals that can be counted on one hand; no hotels with sky-high prices, but beautiful homestays with reasonable price increases. 🏡After getting tired of queuing at Sanqing Mountain, I decisively gave up the original plan to visit Hongling and Wuyu Island! In the evening, I randomly chose a homestay to stay in. Waking up in the morning, sitting on the balcony basking in the sun, looking at the greenery and the ancient village in the distance, I really didn't want to leave and decided to stay another day on the spot! Without prior travel planning, the following itinerary was quickly planned through conversations with the homestay owner and villagers. If you are also tired of commercialized scenic spots and endless queues, traffic jams, and price gouging, why not slow down and take this route. 🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏼‍♀️Tour itinerary: Day1: Near Yantian Village. Sleep in - Xunjiansi - Walk to Xiayantian Village for lunch - Visit Yantian Scenic Area - Small train/walk back to Xunjiansi (about 20min walk from Yantian Scenic Area to Xunjiansi) - Arrange New Year activities after dinner: setting off fireworks Day2: Shuanghe Bridge - 3.5km - Hengkengkou - 3.3km - Longwan - 5.6km - Fengshan Village (the ancestral home of Jin Yong) - 1.7km - Qinyu - 5.1km - Zhanpit - 1.4km - Chaguan Village - 632m - Hongguan Village ‼️Little Tips: ⭐Yantian Scenic Area is located in Xiayantian (direct navigation to Yantian Scenic Area will get you there), the area is not large, mainly to see a 1600-year-old ancient camphor tree and an ancient bridge. The management of the scenic area is lax, and whether there are tickets and how much they cost seems uncertain. If you need to use the restroom, it may not be worth it. There is also a Kengtou ancient village near Yantian, which the homestay owner also recommended us to visit. ⭐Day2 route as shown in the red arrow part of picture 10. Place names can be found on the map, but specific scenic spots and camera positions need to be observed along the way, possibly a little before or after the positioning point. If time is limited, you don't have to stop at every station, it is recommended to explore Chaguan Village and Hongguan Village more deeply. Other marked points on the map are recommended by everyone but we didn't have time to visit this time. 🌽🍠🌶️Food: 200 meters near Yantian Scenic Area, there is a sign for Jinshi Mountain Villa, turn in there for the famous Jinshi pig's trotters in the whole village. Or you can go to Qinghua Town to eat. 🏨Hotel: Wangshan Life·Wuyuan ⭐The rapeseed flowers in Wuyuan have started to bloom one after another, and in the past few days, I have seen small patches blooming. It's the peak season for rapeseed flowers, everyone can start planning!
