A Dream of the Tang Dynasty at Daming Palace

Walking into the Xi'an Daming Palace National Heritage Park, it feels as if the river of history is flowing backward, taking me back to the glorious Tang Dynasty. The majestic ruins of the Danfeng Gate stand tall, reminiscent of the bustling imperial city gates from a thousand years ago, welcoming countless civil and military officials and foreign envoys. Strolling along the central axis of the former palace complex, the remaining rammed earth walls and palace foundations, though simple, are imbued with endless historical charm. Climbing onto the reconstructed platform of the Hanyuan Hall ruins, I overlook the vast heritage park, and scenes of emperors ascending the hall and ministers paying homage seem to unfold in my mind. The gentle breeze feels like it carries the music and poetry of the Tang Dynasty, with the faint sound of ancient melodies lingering in my ears. As the sun sets, the Daming Palace becomes even more solemn under the glow of the evening light. Every inch of this land records the splendor and vicissitudes of the Tang Dynasty, and today's tranquility makes one appreciate the weight of history and the inheritance of culture even more. Daming Palace is not just a heritage site but a cultural dialogue spanning a thousand years.
