I learned how to cook while eating on Gulangyu Island! Now I'm a great cook!

🏖️ My good friend👫 came to Xiamen to play, and we went to Gulangyu Island for an autumn outing. My colleague's grandma lives on Gulangyu Island, and she recommended this restaurant, Qi Zao Fujian Cuisine. Both the environment and the dishes are full of Minnan flavor! 🍲 Boiled eel: This is the first time I've had boiled eel, and it was amazing! The spicy and fresh soup base and the rich and delicious eel meat collide, and it's not greasy at all. With a variety of refreshing vegetables, it's really delicious😋 and I can't stop eating it. 🥩 Tong'an sealed meat: This is a representative dish of Minnan! The whole piece of pork belly is stewed until soft and flavorful, and it melts in your mouth, fat but not greasy. 🈶 With shiitake mushrooms, chestnuts, and other side dishes, it's really a classic flavor. 🍵 Four-ingredient stewed duck: The four ingredients are enough, and it's as rich and mellow as the one I had at my friend's house in Zhangzhou. It's perfect for drinking four-ingredient soup in autumn, warm and cozy. 🥭 Soy sauce mango: Minnan people can eat anything with soy sauce, including fruit. It's surprisingly delicious😋, sweet and salty. This restaurant has a fully transparent kitchen, so you can watch the chef cook up close while sitting at the table. The use of oil and ingredients is really reassuring, and there are no pre-made dishes. The main thing is that I secretly learned the chef's techniques🫣. I'll try it on the weekend and see how much I learned😂.
