An Underrated Ancient Town in Guangdong with a Guizhou Charm!

The layered stilted buildings on both sides of the river are staggered in such a way that it's astonishing: it really doesn't feel like Guangdong at all! This place is incredibly tranquil, with hardly any commercial atmosphere, as if it's a forgotten paradise. Recently, with continuous rain and mist, the entire ancient town looks as beautiful as a fairyland. Although it's not large, you can stroll through it in about an hour. 2️⃣ Besides the ancient town, you can also choose to hike up the mountain. There is a circular trail with an altitude of 1402 meters, about 11km long. If you choose to reach the summit, it will take about 5-6 hours, otherwise, it's around 3 hours. 3️⃣ The ancient town is not yet commercialized. Although we went during a holiday, it wasn't crowded, allowing you to fully enjoy the tranquility. 4️⃣ Dressing suggestion: Choose ancient-style clothing or light-colored dresses and cheongsams to perfectly blend with the scenery, especially on rainy days, which gives off the feeling of the water towns in the south of the Yangtze River. 5️⃣ Food recommendation: There are many farmhouses nearby with great flavors.
