Hinggan League

Hinggan League, a league under the jurisdiction of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the northeastern part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in the transition zone from the Greater Hinggan Mountains to the Songnen Plain, and is adjacent to Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces in the northeast and southeast respectively; it is connected to Tongliao City, Xilingol League and Hulunbuir City in the south, west, and north respectively; it borders Mongolia in the northwest, with a border line of 126 kilometers, and a total area of 55,131 square kilometers. As of October 2022, Hinggan League governs 2 county-level cities, 1 county, and 3 banners. As of the end of 2022, the permanent population of Hinggan League was 1.396 million people.
