Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake @ Port Gregory

Getting There - worth the drive from Geraldton to Port Gregory since we are going down south to Perth. Attractions - Hutt Lagoon is known as the pink lake because the water actually looks pink. This is due to the large presence of the carotenoid-producing algae Dunaliella Salina in the lake, which is a source of beta-carotene and vitamin A. This algae is used as a colouring agent in foods and cosmetics. Hotels - we did not book any there! 😉 Food & Restaurants - you gotta drive a bit to Kalbarri Shopping - well, we did not do any shopping near port gregory but there is a general store nearby. Will go again!
