Fuli Ancient Town is a town with a history of over 1,000 years, known as "Three mountains surround the ancient town, one river embraces the green island". The ancient town is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the water on one side, with a subtropical monsoon climate. The natural landscape of Fuli Ancient Town is characterized by three mountains and one river. The three mountains refer to Feifeng Mountain, Yingwu Mountain and Ma Mountain, which surround the ancient town. The one river refers to the Lijiang River, which is divided by a sandbar near the ancient town. The ancient town also has attractions such as Daguan Pavilion and Liu Sanjie's Home. Fuli is a wharf for water transportation on the Lijiang River and an ancient port on the Pearl River system. In ancient times, there were no highways or railways, and the Lijiang River was the only channel connecting the Yangtze River and the Pearl River. Fuli, with its deep water and calm surface, is a harbor for boats to shelter from wind and rain. As a long-term port for upstream and downstream transportation, the population here has gradually increased. Due to the complex terrain in the Yangshuo area, it has been less damaged by wars throughout the ages. Many people from Guangdong, Hunan, Jiangxi, Shandong, Anhui, and Fujian fled to Yangshuo to escape chaos. There are especially many people in Fuli, Yangshuo. Now, almost half of the population in Fuli Town are migrants. The culture here is complex, and the original tribal culture - the ancient Nuo culture is still preserved. The Nuo music and Nuo dance here are well preserved. Nuo music is used as teaching music by the Maoshan School, which has a certain development and is of great historical research value and artistic appreciation value.
