The Grand Canal Museum's Potala Palace Themed Exhibition

I visited the China Grand Canal Museum on Sunday. It is a newly built museum in recent years, featuring many spectacular exhibition halls. These halls display the historical changes and cultural development of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal since ancient times. Inside the museum, there is also a Tibetan culture exhibition hall themed around the Potala Palace. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the overwhelming presence of distinctive Tibetan elements—money, gold ornaments, gilded Lama statues, Thangkas, Tibetan monk robes, and more. Among the dazzling array of gold artifacts, one can also see the opulence of the upper echelons of Tibetan society, as well as the suffering of the common people. Every character and object is a shock!
