Slender West Lake Scenic Area, also known as Yangzhou Slender West Lake Scenic Area, is located at No. 28 Dahongqiao Road, Hanjiang District, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is a sub-scenic area and the core essence of the national key scenic spot "Yangzhou Shugang-Slender West Lake Scenic Area". The scenic area covers a total area of 168 hectares, including 132 hectares of land and 36 hectares of water. Slender West Lake is 4.3 kilometers long and is a belt-shaped landscape formed by the city moats of the Sui, Tang, Five Dynasties, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties. It has always maintained a water source interactive relationship with the Grand Canal. Since the Sui and Tang Dynasties, gardens have been built on both sides of the water system of Slender West Lake. During the Kangxi and Qianlong periods of the Qing Dynasty, due to the six southern tours of the two emperors Kangxi and Qianlong, the "two banks of willows are all by the water, and the pavilions are all the way to the mountain" was created. The grand occasion of the lake and mountain formed the basic pattern of the Slender West Lake Garden. The Slender West Lake Scenic Area is home to famous gardens and scenic spots such as Xuyuan, Xiaojinshan, Wuting Bridge, White Pagoda, Twenty-four Bridge, Wanhua Garden, and Shuangfeng Yunzhan. It is known as "the best garden in the world"!
