The Cascade in Yerevan, a must-visit in Armenia

The Cascade in Yerevan, also known as the Great Cascade, is a stairway complex built along the hillside. This staircase is 500 meters long and 50 meters wide, with a total of 675 steps. The design of the stairs is spectacular, with terraced gardens and fountains that evoke the Hanging Gardens of Babylon in the sky, showcasing the beauty of classical architecture at every turn. The Cascade in Yerevan is not only a calling card of the city but also an art exhibition center. Underneath the stairs and on each ascending level, different installations and artworks are displayed, representing various art forms, including works by a Chinese artist, as well as photo exhibits about the construction of the Cascade. Each level has its own unique artistic atmosphere and characteristics, making the walk from the bottom to the top a feast of visual art. From the top of the stairs, one can have a panoramic view of Yerevan, and on clear days, the Mount Ararat can be seen in the distance.
