Chengtian Temple Pagoda, also known as West Pagoda, is located at No. 76, Jinning South Street, Xingqing District, Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Chengtian Temple Pagoda is an octagonal eleven-story pavilion-style brick pagoda with a total height of 64.5 meters. The pagoda is built on a square base with a height of 2.6 meters and a side length of 26 meters. It is the tallest brick pagoda in Ningxia. The pagoda door faces east, and you can enter the pagoda room through the archway. The pagoda room is a square space. The interior floors are wooden floor structures. There are wooden stairs spiraling up to the top, where you can enjoy the panoramic view. The first and second floors of the pagoda body are equipped with arch door window-style niches, and the third, fifth, seventh, and ninth floors are equipped with north-south arch door-style windows. The pagoda body has a large collection on each floor, and there are three layers of dentate bricks on the upper and lower eaves between each floor. Chengtian Temple Pagoda is not only beautiful in appearance, but also the cultural relics it contains are precious. According to the "Chengtian Temple Stele", when the Empress Dowager of the Western Xia Dynasty built Chengtian Temple, she used a golden coffin and a silver coffin to secretly install the Buddha's top bone relics presented by the monks in the Western Regions, and buried them under the pagoda base. The relics are originally Buddhist sacred objects, and the top bone relics are the treasures of Buddhism, which are extremely rare. The fact that such a sacred object is hidden in Chengtian Temple shows that its status in the Buddhist world at that time was extraordinary.
