Daitou Village vernacular architecture, wandering between the wind and the moon in the pines.

In the stereotype, the Qing Dynasty architecture is often dull and rigid, with too much complexity and not enough flexibility, but the Nanxi River Basin is not. Thanks to the closed geographical conditions, the craftsmen here evolved very slowly, so the simple and atmospheric characteristics of the Ming Dynasty architecture and the ingenuity of the structure were preserved; in the village planning, it continued the high aesthetic standards of this place since the Song Dynasty. Daitou Village was originally named Daichuan and is located in a valley in the middle reaches of the Nanxi River, surrounded by Jiuluo Mountain and Wushan Mountain. In the middle and late Qing Dynasty, Daitou became a professional architectural village. The craftsmen here used creativity and superb aesthetics to create an ideal landscape home for themselves. Daitou Village is centered on a man-made pool-Moze, and the ancient houses such as "Pine Wind and Moon", "Moze Shengxiang", and "Qulu" are arranged around Moze in a row. The architectural style of plain wood and white walls complements the mountain view in the distance. The ceremonial buildings such as ancestral halls are scattered on the outside of the residential area. Thanks to the professional advantages of the architects, many of these buildings are equipped with exquisite shrines and small woodwork, which will be shared separately later.
