The only Chinese historical and cultural town in Fuzhou. Located in the southwestern part of Yongtai County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, Qikou Ancient Town is a famous historical and cultural town in China and the only Chinese historical and cultural town in Fuzhou. Qikou Ancient Town is the hometown of Zhang Yuanqian, a patriotic poet in the Southern Song Dynasty. It is also the political, economic and cultural center and an important transportation hub of Yongtai Southwest. There are more than 60 ancient dwelling houses in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the town of Qikou, which are well preserved. There are more than 100 well-preserved ancient houses in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
