Chongqing Youyang Red Stone Forest Geopark | Explore a billion-year-old wonder.

Youyang Red Stone Forest Geopark is located on the right bank of the You River in Youyang, Chongqing. The red stone forest belt is mainly composed of karst landforms, canyon landforms, and stratigraphic sections. Some of them look like natural stone turtles, lifelike, and some look like Dunhuang murals. The scenery in this area is different geological landscapes, either strange rocks or karst caves. This red stone forest looks like it has traveled from modern times to another world, and a large piece of rust-red stone suddenly comes into view, which is very shocking. Location: Drive to Youyang Red Stone Forest Geopark. Tickets: 💰48/person, free for children under 1.2 meters. Featured attractions: This area was an ocean hundreds of millions of years ago, and the layers of stone deposits very realistically show what the seabed looked like. The traces of seawater erosion make these stones have very beautiful lines, mainly including the Divine Bird's Song to Heaven, the Jade Emperor's Throne, the Magical Stone Fish, the Couple Stone, and the Nine Dragons Array. About the tour: It takes about 2 hours to visit the park, and the attractions are very concentrated. Notes: There are drink vending machines in the scenic area, but no other food is sold, so it is recommended to bring your own snacks and water.
