Wenling Travel | The local's favorite 'Goddess' Shifuren

Once you arrive in Wenling, you are immediately captivated by the local 'Goddess' Shifuren from afar. Shifuren is the iconic peak of Wenling, located at the summit of Wulong Mountain, resembling the portrait of an ancient beauty. The peak is named for its shape, hence called Shifuren. From a distance, Shifuren appears to have her hair coiled up, with a slender neck and sloping shoulders, looking charming and elegant. If you have ample time, you can climb the mountain here, although the scenery in the mountains is not very distinctive. If you don't feel like exercising, you can simply admire Shifuren from the foot of the mountain. At the foot of the mountain, there is also a Fan Yin Zen Temple where you can pray, a very tranquil place. This ancient temple, built during the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty, was originally named Pure Land Hermitage and belonged to the Pure Land sect. It was first built by Yan Chongshan from Lanxi. The temple has been renovated and is now quite large. It is said to have been expanded twice, during the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty and in the sixth year of the Republic of China, by which time the Fan Yin Temple already had a mountain gate, Hall of Heavenly Kings, Mahavira Hall, Dharma Hall, totaling five halls. On both sides, there are guest halls, dining halls, guest rooms, storerooms, and other auxiliary buildings.
