Nuodeng Ancient Village - A Thousand-Year-Old Bai Ethnic Village (Part Three)

Nuodeng Ancient Town is located in the deep mountains north of Yunlong County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is a Bai ethnic village with a history of thousands of years. The three to four hundred households in Nuodeng are mainly distributed in the mountain hollows and northwest sunny slopes of the village. Every household in Nuodeng raises horses, and from these horses, one can vaguely see the shadow of the former horse caravan. The village's 'Ancient Ancestor Square' and 'Muslim Square' were the permanent residences of the Tibetan and Hui horse and cattle caravans in the past. Yunnan Province proposes to rebuild Nuodeng and reproduce the splendor of the 'Ancient Tea-Horse Road' bustling town. Nuodeng Ancient Town has a history of more than a thousand years. Over the past thousand years, the village name has never been changed, and the residential buildings of the ancient town are built according to the mountain, most of which were built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Nuodeng Ancient Town is a settlement developed due to the salt industry, and has long lived on boiling salt, and was once an economic heavy town in the western Yunnan region. Looking up, the residential buildings are layered and well-arranged, including the Dragon King Temple, the Ancient Jiangxi Guild Hall, the Wanshou Palace, the ancient banyan tree, the 'Title Visit' of the Huang surname family, and the 'Lingxing Gate' in front of the Jade Emperor Pavilion, etc. The ancient architectural group, the ancient archway, etc., the archway in the ancient town is the largest ancient wooden archway in western Yunnan. The tall ancient Huanglian tree in the village, the tree is as high as thirty to forty meters, and the oldest tree age is more than 800 years.
