Family-friendly places near Changde: Nest Residence

Nest Residence in Zhangjiajie is my top choice for a weekend getaway with my kids. It only takes 2 hours to drive from Changde to this fairyland-like homestay! The homestay is surrounded by mountains and water, lush greenery, and the sounds of birds and cicadas. It's like a paradise on earth, and I can't help but think that fairies must live here! We booked a room with a stunning view of the mountains and water. Although it doesn't have the luxurious decor of a hotel, nature lovers and those who enjoy a relaxed and free atmosphere will fall in love with this place. In the morning, I sit on the rattan chair in the courtyard, gazing at the mountains, water, birds, and trees, lost in thought for a long time... The homestay also has a large lawn and a big swimming pool, perfect for summer water play with kids. There's a crystal-clear stream nearby, with the upstream being a local water source protection area, boasting a great ecological environment.
