Zhangzhou Ancient City has a bit of a lively atmosphere

🚗Transportation: Self-driving: About an hour's drive from Xiamen city center to Zhangzhou Ancient City High-speed train: About 20 minutes by taxi from Zhangzhou high-speed train station 🅿️Parking: There are two parking lots in the ancient city, one at the west entrance and one at the north entrance. Only the north entrance has surface parking spaces, about twenty or so. If there's no space, you'll have to park underground. Parking fee is 3💰 for the first 3 hours, then an additional 2💰 per hour, with a daily maximum of 20💰. 🗺️Route: The ancient city is not very big; you can basically wander around and eat without missing much. It's not recommended to go out of your way for a specific spot. Just follow the street layout and signs, and you won't likely repeat your path. 😋Food: I'll only recommend a few local specialties, the rest are similar to other ancient cities and have a chain-like taste, so they're not necessary. 1⃣️Freshly squeezed sugarcane juice: 6💰, with additional ingredients around 7💰. You can add starfruit, Pianzaihuang grass, pear, etc., all of which are quite tasty. There are many shops in the ancient city, all using the same raw materials, so there's no need to specifically check in at any one shop. 2⃣️Handmade mochi: 1.5~2💰, hand-pounded with a crispy filling, powdered sugar, and coated with peanut sesame powder. There are several shops in the ancient city, and the taste is similar. 3⃣️A Fang's braised noodles: 7~20💰, with optional toppings, as you like. 4⃣️Oyster omelette: 16~20💰, the most popular is Jianguo Oyster Omelette. 5⃣️Tofu pudding with vermicelli: Starting at 4💰, with optional toppings. It's a Southern Fujian breakfast, with famous ones like A Jun Tofu Pudding, Li Qin Tofu Pudding, and Donghua Tofu Pudding. 6⃣️Four-fruit soup: 7~9💰, you can also buy QQ mochi skewers inside, 5💰 a box, available in almost every shop. The more famous ones are the original park's back door Four-Fruit Soup, and the old shop Four-Fruit Soup. 7⃣️Dried tofu noodles: Average 10💰 per person, with various small toppings you can add yourself, including noodles, dried tofu, five-spice, fried meat, etc., all mixed with sauce.
