Zhongwei affordable accommodation in the desert train motel, super cool

👉🏻Entering the desert, there are not many accommodation options. The desert stars that cost over 7000 a night during the peak season are too expensive, and camping is worrisome due to the harsh conditions and inconvenience of water use. Eventually, I chose the train-themed motel. 🚃This train is a steam locomotive used in 1958 when the Chinese desert railway--the Baolan Railway was opened, with a total of 17 carriages. The locomotive head flies two red flags, a special memory of travel in that fiery era. 🎉There are two main types of rooms: standalone ones in the desert, and those inside the train carriages. I personally really recommend staying in the train, the luxury standard room is less than 400 per person per night, and pulling open the curtains to look through the small window at the uninhabited desert is too cool! 💋We stayed in the Galaxy Moon themed room, which I fell in love with at first sight when booking. The vast galaxy and the desert are a perfect match. The room has an en suite bathroom, complete facilities, and decent soundproofing. Inevitably there will be some sand grains, but it's within an acceptable range. 💋The primary task in the Golden Sand Sea is to take photos; the rooms inside the train, the train itself, and the nearby desert are all great for snapping impressive shots. Of course, the Golden Sand Sea also offers activities like sand sliding, camel rides, and motorcycling, which seem more like privately organized, and the prices are not expensive. 💓💓Special tip: Dinner service stops at 21:00, it is recommended to order before 20:30. For those with cars, or who don't want to compromise, you can also drive back to the city to eat, which is just 40 kilometers away, a 30min drive
