Zhuhai Zhonghai Renaissance — A new benchmark for the Renaissance brand

The hotel is located on the bank of Qianshan River in Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai, seamlessly connected to Qianshan Light Rail Station, and situated within the Envoy City shopping district, offering guests a superior one-stop experience for dining, entertainment, and leisure. It is also just a ten-minute drive from Zhuhai Station and the Gongbei/Qingmao border crossing. The hotel's design is inspired by the love story of the Zhuhai Fisher Girl, incorporating marine elements throughout. The lobby bar makes extensive use of contrasting dark and light color schemes, adding a fashionable touch. During this stay, I was upgraded to the Renaissance Suite 1818 on the 18th floor (the number 18 is very auspicious in Guangdong), and as you can see from the diagram, there is only one suite per floor. I am sincerely grateful for the hotel's generosity. The room is 92 square meters, without a guest bathroom, replaced by a walk-in closet. Compared to the intricate and bright lobby, the interior design of the room is extremely simple, yet it reveals its playful spirit in the details. Since the hotel opened in 2022, the room's smart features are very comprehensive, including electric curtains, Washlet toilets, and screen-casting TVs, all of which are equipped. Additionally, the use of Hansgrohe hardware, Villeroy & Boch sanitary ware, and a Leifheit hairdryer all add a lot of prestige. The bedroom area is quite square, and the extensive use of lines and marine elements make it look like a ship's cabin. The executive lounge is located on the top floor, the 20th floor, with an open terrace, offering panoramic views of Qianshan River and the heart of the city. On clear days, you can even see the Macau Tower and the Grand Lisboa in the distance. The afternoon tea selection is somewhat limited, with only doughnuts and cream puff cakes. However, the happy hour menu is impressively hardcore, with dishes like red wine beef stew, pan-fried pork chops, and Thai shrimp cakes, which are absolutely dominant in comparison to lounges of the same level in Zhuhai. It is only a slight disappointment that the hotel does not yet offer cocktails. Breakfast is served on the third floor at the Sun and Moon Terrace, with a rich variety of noodle dishes, including wontons, alkaline noodles, and rice noodle rolls. There is also a large outdoor terrace on the third floor, which serves as a dining area, and it's very pleasant to have breakfast there when the weather is good. The gym and swimming pool are both located on the fourth floor, separated by just one wall. The gym's color contrasts highlight a youthful vitality and boldness, while the pool uses a design of pearls and islands to showcase Zhuhai's unique harbor charm. Zhuhai Renaissance can definitely be called the face of the new generation of Renaissance. Compared with other Renaissance hotels in the same province, it is neither as outdated as the Huizhou Renaissance nor as overly business-oriented as the Peng Nian and Shenzhen Bay Renaissance. While interpreting the Renaissance romantic revival, it also retains a very distinct regional character, making it highly worthwhile for friends visiting Zhuhai to stay and experience the Zhuhai Zhonghai Renaissance Hotel.
