They were originally located on both sides of the pool in front of Haiyantang in the Old Summer Palace, arranged in a V-shape. Each hour represents a zodiac sign, and they take turns to spray water to tell the time. At noon, they all spray water simultaneously, which is a unique spectacle. Each zodiac bronze statue has its unique symbolic meaning. 2️⃣Jiuzhou Qingyan Jiuzhou Qingyan is one of the earliest building complexes in the Old Summer Palace and one of the forty scenes of the Old Summer Palace. The name Jiuzhou Qingyan implies peace and prosperity across the nine regions of China, with the country in harmony and stability. 3️⃣Zhengda Guangming 'Zhengda Guangming' is an idiom. It comes from the Song Dynasty scholar Zhu Xi's 'Collected Works of Zhu Wengong, Volume 38, Reply to Zhou Yigong': 'As for Fan Gong's heart, it is upright and bright, without old grievances, and his sincere loyalty lies in the country.' It means to be open and honest, with upright conduct. The main hall of the Palace of Heavenly Purity has a plaque inscribed with 'Zhengda Guangming' by the Qing Dynasty Emperor Shunzhi. Due to its special historical significance and the continuous portrayal in recent film and television works, it has become a major symbol of the Qing Dynasty. There are photo spots for checking in. 4️⃣Mini Train, Sightseeing Car You can tour the entire scenic area; there are also boat rides and yellow duck boats to paddle on the lake. The boats have various themes, such as Qianlong's Southern Tour. There is also an 80r cableway that leads to Zhangshan Forest Park. 5️⃣Lake Tour There are many fish in the lake, and feeding the fish is a favorite activity for children.
