Shaoxing Wuxie Scenic Area | Enjoy the mountains and waters at Wuxie

Shaoxing has quite a few attractions around, and the Wuxie Scenic Area in Zhuji is quite famous and indeed nice, suitable for taking kids out in the summer. 🛥️ Take a boat into the scenic area, the scenery is very nice. You can choose a large boat or a speedboat 🚤 (speedboat charges extra). 📌 You can buy some water toys, maybe water guns are more appropriate, we bought fishing nets, there are places where you can see fish, but you can't really catch them. 📝 Walking along, you'll reach the fifth Wuxie, where there are a lot of people playing in the water, and it's the most suitable place for water play. ⛰️ After Wuxie, start climbing the mountain, following the mountain up from the fourth to the first Wuxie, the climb is not too high overall, and it takes about half an hour to reach the first Wuxie. Zhuji is known to many people because it is the hometown of Xishi 😍, but there are quite a few fun things to do. Like pearls, fragrant torreya nuts, and in autumn, you must come here to Wuxie to see the ginkgo! Wuxie Scenic Area is the most famous scenic spot in Zhuji, and you can seriously play for a whole day 🗺! 📈 After entering the scenic area, you first need to take a cruise 🚢 across Wuxie Lake, and after landing, you can walk for 20 minutes or take the scenic area's shuttle bus 🚌 to the ginkgo forest at Wuxie Zen Temple~ Wuxie Zen Temple is also quite nice to visit, with particularly magnificent architecture, and it has that Zen spirit of Buddhism 🪷. The ginkgo trees here are sacred to Buddhism, and the ginkgo forest here is mostly composed of thousand-year-old ginkgo trees 🌳, covering a large area and growing very well! Inside the Wuxie Scenic Area, after passing through the ginkgo forest, you can also go mountain climbing ⛰️, and you can see 5 small waterfalls 🌊, which is where the name Wuxie comes from! And when you reach the top of the mountain, there is a large area of red maples 🍁. On the other side, you can come down to Xiyuan Canyon, a forest oxygen bar, and it's also very comfortable to walk around and see~ 💰 Regarding the cost, the scenic area's main ticket 🎫 is 50 yuan, which includes the round-trip boat ticket~ If you want to take a speedboat 🚤, you pay an additional 20 yuan. The shuttle bus inside the scenic area is charged separately, 10 yuan for a round trip~
