Check-in at the Wu Xie Scenic Area, the filming location of 'The Grotto of the Silken Web'

Wu Xie Scenic Area | Known as the oldest scenic tourist area in Zhejiang Province||In addition to the typical Jiangnan scenery of small bridges over flowing water and households, there are also the beautiful landscapes of mountains and waters. The Wu Xie mountains and waters, located in Zhuji City, have long been famous, with descriptions found in ancient texts such as the Eastern Han Dynasty's 'Yue Jue Shu', the Northern Wei Dynasty's 'Commentary on the Water Classic', and the Tang Dynasty's 'History of the Sui'. It is reported to be the oldest scenic tourist area in Zhejiang Province, attracting literati and poets as early as 1400 years ago. The Tang Dynasty's high monk, Zen Master Ling Mo, even established the Wu Xie Zen Temple here, which became widely renowned. Today's Wu Xie has become a national-level forest park, mainly composed of four scenic areas: Wu Xie Lake, Peach Blossom Source, East Source, and West Source Gorges. The entire scenic area is lush with vegetation, exuding a sense of ancient and primal beauty. The gorges on both sides are lined with peculiar peaks and strange rocks, competing in beauty, with '72 peaks, 36 caves, 25 cliffs', and the splendor of cliffside waterfalls. Among them, Wu Xie Lake (reservoir) is winding and expansive, covering an area of 568,000 square meters, long and narrow like a green silk ribbon floating among the mountains. Visitors can boat on the lake, enjoying the lush and graceful vitality of the scenery on both sides. However, the most spectacular and exquisite scenery belongs to the Wu Xie Waterfalls, which include Moon Veiled in Light Mist, Twin Dragons Competing in the Gorge, A Thousand Poses, Wild Horses Galloping, and Jiaolong Emerging from the Sea. But my personal favorite is still Jiaolong Emerging from the Sea (the fifth waterfall). From the 31.2-meter-high cliff, a white cascade rushes down with a sound like thunder, resembling a bolt of silk. When the water flow is strong, the pouring waterfall tumbles and soars, like silver snakes dancing wildly or a Jiaolong emerging from the sea, quite magnificent. The deep pool formed by the waterfall's impact is named 'East Dragon Pool', and due to its depth and expanse, with dark water, it is also called 'Black Dragon Well'. Standing by the deep pool, one can't help but feel how wonderful it is to be close to nature. Such scenery in the depths of nature is indeed one of the great joys of life's journey.
