Zunyi Conference Site: A must-see red tourism destination.

The Zunyi Conference Site is located at the foot of Phoenix Mountain, in the old town. It takes only 1 hour to travel from Guiyang to Zunyi by high-speed train, and you can check in to your hotel by noon. The Zunyi Conference was a very important meeting in the early days of the Long March. It established the teacher's leadership position in the Red Army and saved the revolution from a precarious situation. It was a very critical meeting. The goal of this trip was to visit the building where the meeting was held. It has long since become a monument in my heart, and I hope to see it with my own eyes. It was October 8, and the National Day tourists had already left. After scanning the code at the entrance to make a reservation, I didn't have to wait in line and was soon standing in front of the building, my dream realized. Today, a commercial pedestrian street and a large square have been built in front of the site, making it a very lively place. The Zunyi Conference Site is a two-story building built in the 1930s. It was originally the private residence of Bai Huizhang, the commander of the 2nd Division of the 25th Army of the Qian Army. There is a courtyard behind the building, which was the headquarters of the Red Army's General Staff Department at that time. It was mainly responsible for communication work and was the eyes and ears of the Red Army. Of course, what I wanted to see most was the second floor, where the meeting was held. Unfortunately, the second floor is no longer open to the public, and there is a notice downstairs explaining why. Due to the age of the building, it is no longer suitable for public access for cultural relic protection and safety reasons. It is currently only open to some professional institutions and personnel. I suddenly felt a little disappointed, as if the significance of this trip had been halved. There is an old locust tree next to the building, which is still lush and green. Behind the scenic area is a modern building, the Zunyi Conference Exhibition Hall, which has very detailed exhibits. However, since I am already very familiar with this history, I only took a quick look. The exit of the site is located on Yangliu Street behind the site, which is connected to Minzhu Road, where Laosha Lane is located. There are many red relics left from that time along this road, such as the General Political Department, the Garrison Command, and the former site of the National Bank. I found a small restaurant in a nearby alley and had a bowl of local rice noodles for lunch.
