Dhaka Regency Hotel in Bangladesh Dhaka
Dhaka Regency is a 5 star hotel located just 5 minutes away from Dhaka Airport. I stayed there for 3 nights costing me £110 a night.
I checked into the hotel after a 11 hour flight but as soon as I walked into the hotel I was mesmerized by the excellent customer service and look of the hotel. Check in was really simple and when I got to the room I couldn't believe the size of the room, it was like a mini apartment. The room had a nice comfortable King bed, a sofa/chair, a work table and the toilet, bath and shower where of very high quality.
Regarding the customer service I called the reception asking for a iron and within 2 minutes someone came knocking on my room door, when I opened it the hotel worker asked what I needed ironing and he took my clothing and returned 10 minutes later with my clothes ironed. I also asked the reception wheres the best place for my to buy a luggage, the worker came with me to a local shop negotiated the price for me and at the end of the sale the hotel worker told me he would leave the luggage in my room and I can carry on exploring the city and there is no need for me to carry the new luggage back to my room. Out of all the hotels I have stayed in around the world the customer service at this hotel has been the best and I have not found any hotel yet that could match it
The hotel has a roof top swimming pool and you will also find a BBQ next to it where you can buy food and enjoy the wonderful views of Dhaka from the roof. Also regarding food the hotel restaurant had wonderful food it consisted of Bangladeshi food aswell as western food, I opted for the Bangladeshi food and I can say it was excellent and you could tell it was really fresh.
Next time I visit Dhaka this is the only place I would consider staying in.#dhaka #bangladesh #hotel #5star #resort

Sightseeing in Dhaka
Dhaka is the capital city of Bangladesh, it is densely populated and traffic is quite busy. Even as chaotic as it can be, there are some landmarks worth to visit, specially the old colonial ones perfect for beautiful photographies. Two building I enjoyed visiting were: Ahsan Manzil (Pink Palace) and Lalbagh Fort build in the 17th century. #travellater #dhaka #bangladesh #travellater

The Red Fort of Dhaka
The Lalbagh Fort, also known as Lalbagh Qila or Lalbagh Kella, is an iconic 17th-century Mughal fort complex located in the heart of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Its centerpiece is the majestic Lalbagh Fort, which was commissioned by Prince Muhammad Azam, the son of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Though the fort was never completed, it remains a significant historical and architectural landmark, showcasing exquisite Mughal design elements such as domes, minarets, and ornate carvings. The fort's name, Lalbagh, translates to "Red Garden" in English, likely referring to the red sandstone used in its construction.
