Another reason this spot is great for kids is the mild water temperature, unlike the freezing water in other Daming Mountain canyons. At first, I thought the water would be as cold as in Daming Mountain, but it’s actually just right for kids. There’s also a shallow pool with only a thin layer of water that gets warm under the hot sun, so kids can run between two pools and experience two different water temperatures. This water temperature is safe for kids to play all day. The owner changes the water daily, draining the pool after guests leave and refilling it with fresh water the next day. My child soaked in the water all afternoon with no skin issues, which is very important for sensitive skin. Shanglin Yunmeng Village Ideal for families who enjoy outdoor adventures. About a two-hour drive from Nanning. The main water play spot here is Liunu Pond, which has very clear, shallow water safe for kids. You can rent tents and barbecue nearby, and parking is convenient. For those wanting a deeper experience, there are professional stream trekking and waterfall rappelling activities lasting about 5 hours, led by guides. These are suitable for older kids and families who like outdoor activities. The mountain roads are steep, so be cautious when passing other vehicles. Beautiful Jiangnan Farm Located in Jinji Village, Shajing, Jiangnan District, about a half-hour drive. Known as "Little Guilin of Nanning," it features large bamboo forests and riverbanks. Summer sun is a concern, but the dense bamboo forest provides good shade even at noon. Water play happens mainly in natural river channels with depths controlled under 60 cm, making it safe for kids to splash and play. The farm provides bamboo rafts and paddleboards for free, along with life jackets.
