Dushan County, a small mountainous town in Qiannan Prefecture, Guizhou, is a convenient place to stay when visiting the Xiaoqikong and Daqikong scenic areas in Libo. We chose to stay at the Baiquan Grand Hotel in Nanguo Impression Central City, which is surrounded by numerous restaurants and shopping malls, making it quite convenient. The hotel's decor is quite stylish, incorporating the unique mountain and rock formations of Guizhou into its design, creating an artistic setting that exudes a sense of understated luxury. For a four-star business hotel, it is quite impressive. We stayed in a superior twin room, which was 37 square meters in size, making it spacious and comfortable. The room rate, including breakfast for two, was less than 2,000 TWD! This price is very reasonable. Unfortunately, we had to check out early the next morning to visit the scenic areas, so we didn't have time to enjoy the public facilities, but overall, the stay was quite pleasant.

Today, 10 friends and I checked into the Dushan Jianyi International Hotel. It's a hotel with good reviews on Journey.com and is even touted as a five-star hotel. We were disappointed even before we even entered the hotel! The 10-person bus had to park at the main entrance. We saw escalators on both sides and thought we could take our luggage up to the hotel entrance. But when we called security, the escalators weren't even open. They said we didn't have a key to start them. So, we ended up carrying all our luggage up the stairs, including some elderly people in their 60s and 70s! What the hell?! A five-star hotel doesn't even have a porter, and the escalators are useless! We came based on the reviews, but we were so disappointed! We reported it to the front desk, but we didn't get a satisfactory response or any compensation. How can they still call themselves a five-star hotel? Please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 don’t embarrass yourself!
