Normally, a chartered car would cost 300 somoni. If the driver only goes to Sarvoda, it might be around 80 somoni. Once in Sarvoda, look for a car to Iskanderkul. As long as the direction is correct, it's not hard to find a ride. - Departing from Dushanbe, find a shared taxi at Chorbogh Terminal. The price is unclear, but it should not exceed 150 somoni. Accommodation: - I recommend the first house by the lake when you arrive, which is marked as Zumrad on the map. The rooms are clean and sanitary. The restaurant has a lake view and the food is not expensive. However, the room rate is 350, which is quite expensive. - ❌ Do not go to Shomi/Sham-e next to Turist. The environment is like a Turbaza (Russian-style summer camp). Poor hygiene, and lots of mosquitoes and flies. Also, there is no lake view. - There is another place by the lake called Khayom. It's more expensive. The environment might be better. Please compare for yourself. Sightseeing: - You can swim in Iskanderkul or take a boat (Image 1) - The nearby snake lake is particularly beautiful and not to be missed (Image 2). - ❌ Don't bother with Alexander the great cave; it's just a broken little cave (Image 3). - There is also a big waterfall near the lake, which is particularly spectacular (Image 4).

Selepas Samarkand, Uzbekistan aku melalui pintu sempadan Panjakeet menuju Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Sebab tersilap isi tarikh validity evisa Tajik jadi terpaksa la stay lebih lama di Samarkand daripada planning asal hari tu. Sebenarnya masuk hari Ni pun dah 4 hari aku mereput di Dushanbe, Tajikistan ni. Planning sebenarnya nak jelajah Tajikistan guna 4 X 4 tapi since sekarang ni off season so memang susah amat nak cari traveler lain untuk share kenderaan. Forum dah try, hostel/ hotel pun dah tanya memang X de yang ngam tarikh untuk join sekali. One of the disadvantage of solo travelers. Jangan ditanya kenapa tak ajak member travel skali. Memang dah ajak dah, biasala bila ajak semua nak, pong pang pong pang. Tapi time nak beli tiket *krik krik krik* 😏😏😏😆😆😆 Bandar Dushanbe ni sehari dua dah habih explore dah. Jadinya sekarang sementara menunggu traveler dari Finland sampai sehari dua lagi ni kerja aku tido bangun pastu tido balik, cuci baju, pi pasar, petang-petang pi taman duduk kat bangku makan kacang & baca buku, nasib baik la orang-orang kat sini elok-elok, boleh la aku cuci mata 😆😆 I think people in Central Asia really know how to cook meat! Kalau pi restoren menu aku biasanya sup kambing Uzbek, shahlik daging, nasik & chai ... Harga kebiasaan untuk meals macam ni dalam RM13-15 (even though I think meals cost in Tajik are slightly expensive compared to Uzbek). Setakat ni tak pandang la meggi kari yang aku bawak tu ... Haha ... Tengok la seminggu dua lagi macamana. 😁
