Mount Fuji One-Day Tour for a Small Group of Nine
Just participated in a Mount Fuji one-day tour, circled around Mount Fuji for more than half a circle, and admired this iconic Japanese mountain at 5 locations. The overall experience is good, costing more than 500 RMB, and the return on investment is quite good. The car is a branded tour bus, a high-top Toyota Sea Lion, with nine seats. The seats are a bit tight and the comfort is a bit poor. Dined at the Hakkai scenic spot, Japanese set meal, averaging more than 2,000 yen per person, equivalent to more than 100 RMB, not bad.

Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre, Shizuoka Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Visiting the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre
We visited the Mt. Fuji Heritage Centre in early October. We took a 45 minutes train ride from Shimuzu station to Fujinoma Station, where a 10 minute walk led us to the Mt. Fuji Heritage Centre.
Entrance tickets were affordable at about 300 Yen, and you can get an amazing view of Mt. Fuji, if the skies are clear! Unfortunately for us, the skies were cloudy and we did not manage to get a look at the grandeur of Mt. Fuji, but the museum gave us a lot of historical information and facts about Mt. Fuji which you may find fascinating!
There is also a gift shop at the Ground Floor for any souvenir shopping 😊

A place to learn more about Mt.Fuji.
Very interesting “immersive” experience at the heritage centre. Inside, you get to walk up a circular slope, pretending to climb Mt.Fuji.
There are information along the way to read what it is like to really climb it. At the top, you can see the real Mt Fuji. It was cloudy when we visited there sadly. So it’s good to check the weather first before going.
The different types of rocks on display was interesting.
Staffs are very friendly and communicate english quite well.
I can see Mt. Fuji..
Me and my family love's to camp and one of the best place we visited is fumotoppara camping ground. We're mesmerized by the beauty of cone shape mountain with snow on top right in front of our tent. Feels so relaxing while the chilling wind blows, hearing the birds chirping and trees waving it's branches. Before going here you have to call for a reservation so you can have a place to put up your tent. They have also rooms to rent for a night, a house to stay or caravan hotel to rent if you dont have tent and want to stay for a night. Restaurant also is available and very affordable.
Beautiful scenery on the way to Shizuoka business trip.
On a business trip, I went to Fujinomiya and there were only two types of stores on the street: one selling seafood and the other selling fried noodles. I visited the Fujisan World Heritage Center and unexpectedly liked this attraction very much. The scenery and architecture are both beautiful! Just looking at the reflection of Mount Fuji makes me feel good! I don't know much about architecture, but I learned from the introduction of the lady in the museum that it was designed by architect Sakamoto. It's really beautiful~

The divine majesty of Japan’s iconic peak 🇯🇵
#japantrip
Nestled in the tranquil foothills of Mount Fuji in Fujinomiya City, the Fujisan Sengen Shrine stands as a timeless testament to Japan's spiritual and cultural heritage. With origins dating back over a millennium, the shrine was initially constructed to safeguard against the fury of volcanic eruptions, serving as a beacon of protection for the local community. Over the centuries, it has evolved into the preeminent shrine in the region, revered as the head shrine among a network of over 1300 Sengen and Asama shrines throughout Japan. Beyond its historical significance, the shrine holds practical importance as the traditional starting point for pilgrims embarking on the revered ascent of Mount Fuji, symbolizing the enduring bond between humanity and nature.
[Mt. Fuji Miyako Shrine Co., Ltd.]:
Fujiyama Honmachi Asamasha Shrine is the head office of more than 1,300 Asama Shrines in Japan and the center of the faith of Mount Fuji. Legend has it that during the 7th generation of the Emperor Xiaoling, Mount Fuji broke out and the surrounding area was long and ridiculous after the evacuation of the residents. In the 3rd year of Tengren, Emperor Tengren worshipped Mount Fuji for the town and sacrificed the gods in the mountain palace (about 6 kilometers north of the present).
In the first year of Datong, Sakagami Uemura was ordered by the Emperor of the Hiroshima, and the temple was built in the present Omiya area, and today there is a shrine.
Asama Shrine is mainly dedicated to the god of Mt. Fuji, the wooden flower (the daughter of Dashan Jishen), yes, this is a goddess! Dashe sees cherry blossoms as Shenmu. There are about 500 cherry trees in the area. Every year, March and April: Shrine, Mount Fuji and cherry blossoms can be seen here.

World Heritage: Oshino-Hakkai, Tokyo 🇯🇵
#schoolholidays
When on a roadtrip around Tokyo, we had the opportunity to stop by Oshino-Hakkai, and even though it’s the start of winter and the weather was getting more gloomy, it was still very tranquil and lovely.
A UNESCO World Heritage site, Oshino-Hakkai is a beautiful village with many clear fish ponds with water from Mount Fuji’s melting snow.
Well worth a visit as it’s really peaceful and quaint.
My rating: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!

This is Oshino Hakkai is a touristy set of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, located between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako on the site of a former sixth lake that dried out several hundred years ago. It is assessable by buses and is a popular tourist spot where you can see clear pond with koi fish. It is beautiful. If yiu are lucky enough, you can also see Mt Fuji which enhances the aesthetics of the village. It is worth a trip there’s But be sure to go early as it tends to get crowded
Scenic, peaceful, beautiful,refreshing—Oshino Hakkai
It’s a lovely little village of very special deep ponds of snowmelt. The water was tranquil with beautiful fish swimming in it. We went there on a clear sunny day and we had the great view of Mt Fuji too. It’s a very popular tourist spot with plenty of local souvenirs and snacks, including roadside grilled fish. Parking area is a short level walk outside of the village centre. Outdoor areas are dog friendly. There’re some vendors selling freshly dried strawberries and peaches are also lovely.
As all the ponds are outdoors, so check the weather before paying a visit. My partner and I really enjoyed our time there. Highly recommended.
