Tochoji Temple, Fukuoka
Tochoji Temple is an ancient temple located in downtown Fukuoka. It features a large wooden carved Buddha statue and a beautiful five-story red pagoda. It's a popular spot for visitors to Fukuoka to come and pray for blessings.
This temple is the main temple of the Shingon sect of Buddhism and is one of the oldest temples in Japan. If you're visiting Fukuoka, don't forget to stop by and make a wish.
Seaside City Fukuoka
Momochi Seaside Park, Fukuoka's seaside park, features large European-style buildings and a long stretch of clean, white sandy beach. The vibe here is fantastic, perfect for a leisurely stroll and taking photos. There are shops, cafes, and restaurants, and tourists often come here for a relaxing seaside picnic. Photography enthusiasts will love it as every corner offers a great photo opportunity. The lighting is especially good in the evening, highly recommended!
🇯🇵 Bakery loved by locals in Fukuoka, Japan
#traveldiaries
💞Reasons to Recommend: PainPati is a popular bakery in Lalaport Fukouka, which takes pride on its delicious, freshly made products. We tried their Bressane for 240 yen, Pretzels for 264 yen each and soft pizza for 295. Everything we bought tastes so good! I recommend it.

Fukuoka's Best Unagi Donburi Restaurant: Yoshizuka Unagiya
The taste is absolutely top-notch! The interior of the restaurant is also comfortable and pleasant. I went there on a Thursday at 1 PM, and after waiting for about 20 minutes, I enjoyed a delicious meal. There were about 20 groups ahead of me, but the turnover was faster than expected, which was great.
Most of the customers were Koreans, but many locals were also dining there. This indicates that the restaurant is indeed a high-end place with guaranteed taste. If you're looking for a hearty meal, I highly recommend this place!

LaLaport Fukuoka
Although LaLaport Fukuoka is not particularly large, especially compared to some AEON Malls in Kyushu, its location is extremely convenient, being close to the city center and the airport. It is an ideal last stop before leaving Fukuoka. The supermarket on the first floor offers some unique specialty gift boxes that can only be found here. Additionally, the large Gundam model display is a major highlight. The mall has ample indoor parking, which is free on weekdays, making it very convenient for those who drive. Notably, the seating areas are cleverly designed and comfortable, allowing visitors to relax and rest when they get tired.
Fukuoka Must-Visit Spot! Fukuoka Tower.
This is a must-visit spot in Fukuoka!

✅2 Chome-3-26 Momochihama, Sawara Ward, Fukuoka, 814-0001 Japan
The price is affordable at 7000 won, and you can enjoy a panoramic view of Fukuoka from the 51st to the 53rd floors.😄
You can also hang locks and there are photo zones set up everywhere, making it easy to take pictures. 🚏
Highly recommended as a must-visit spot in Fukuoka.
If you visit Fukuoka, you must go to 'Momochi Beach'
Momochi Beach, known as a must-visit place in Fukuoka, Japan, is a spot where you can take in exotic buildings and the sea at a glance. The exotic buildings are actually wedding halls.
It's a place where you can take beautiful photos with the wedding hall buildings and the sea as the backdrop, creating lasting memories. Already well-known as a photo spot in Fukuoka, it's highly recommended to visit if you're in the area.

Fukuoka Autumn Leaves.
Fukuoka, mid-November to early December
is the autumn foliage season. I visited during the early stages of the season when the leaves were just starting to turn red and deepen in color, making the scenery beautiful everywhere in Japan. I took the classic Yufuin no Mori green train from Fukuoka to Yufuin, which took about 2 hours...
Traveling in Japan is simple. Planning your trip in one direction makes it easy and cost-effective, and you can also visit all the spots along the way.
Famous Hamburger Steak Restaurant in Fukuoka
When it comes to the most famous restaurant among Korean tourists in Fukuoka, Kiwamiya Hamburger Steak is the top choice. Fukuoka-style hamburger steak is so popular among Koreans that it's known for having at least a one-hour wait for a meal.
Located on the basement floor of a shopping mall, Kiwamiya Hamburger Steak offers rice and soup when you order a set. If you want to try a variety of dishes, ordering à la carte is also recommended (it's more cost-effective).
Instead of visiting at the opening time, it's better to go around 7 PM, close to the closing time, to avoid waiting. (Only customers who arrive by 8:30 PM can dine.)

Hidden Temple Complex in the Bustling City
A short walk from Fukuoka's famous spots (Hakata Station, Canal City) lies an ancient temple, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful temple complexes in Fukuoka. In autumn, the golden to red leaves create a harmonious contrast with the temple. Equally striking is the diverse architecture, especially the multi-tiered pagoda. The massive main hall is also quite spectacular, housing a gigantic wooden Buddha statue, which is truly amazing. The huge commemorative stones on the sides/back are also impressive, covered with plants, giving them a surreal feeling in the city center. As you might expect, there is a scent of incense. The shrubs and trees around the grounds are well-trimmed. Be sure to pull the rope to pray to the gods. It's definitely worth a stop, and it's very convenient to access within the city, just 100m from Exit 1 of the Gion K10 subway station on the Airport Line. Note that photography is not allowed indoors, only outside.
Fukuoka Hakata Station Sky Rooftop Garden - A Great Spot for Photos
Located on the 11th floor (rooftop) of Amu Plaza, this park is open to the public for free. You can take the elevator connected to Hakata Station to reach it. There's also a Kuro Bear train, a popular Fukuoka character, that you can ride for 200 yen per person per ride.
If you go up the external stairs connected to the rooftop garden, you'll find a great observation deck for taking photos. From here, you can get a panoramic view of Hakata city, making it a highly recommended spot.
It's especially nice because it's close to Fukuoka Airport, allowing you to clearly see planes taking off and landing.

Fukuoka's Must-Visit Kamikawabata Shopping Street
Located between Hakata and Tenjin, this shopping street features numerous shops and restaurants. The atmosphere is similar to Osaka's Shinsaibashi, but Kamikawabata-machi is less crowded. The street has many restaurants and massage parlors, with a few drugstores and Daiso stores.😚
If you get tired, you can visit one of the massage parlors on Kamikawabata Shopping Street to relax your feet and relieve fatigue. The prices are reasonable and offer great value for money! As for food, I tried a few small shops. As soon as you enter Kamikawabata-machi, you'll see a popular store selling strawberry mochi daifuku, which is quite chewy and unique!

Fukuoka Half-Day Citywalk, don't miss this beautiful coastal route
Returning to Fukuoka City from Futamigaura, it was still early, so I looked at the map and decided to take a Citywalk along the coastline, connecting several of Fukuoka's notable spots. It was actually quite worthwhile, as Fukuoka is the kind of city where you can relax and just wander around.
·
🔀Route
Washio Atago Shrine → Atago Bridge → Seaside Momochi Beach Park → Fukuoka Tower → Fukuoka City Museum
·
🚇Transportation
Take the subway Kūkō Line to Muromi Station, then walk 20 minutes to Washio Atago Shrine.
·
📸Highlights
✅Washio Atago Shrine: One of the oldest shrines in Fukuoka and one of Japan's three major Atago Shrines. After exiting the subway station, you need to walk up the road to the mountain. The mountain is not very high, but there is a slightly steep section. Along the way, there are charming houses and hydrangeas. The shrine itself is not very remarkable, but its location serves as an observation deck where you can overlook the entire city of Fukuoka, especially the coastal scenery along Fukuoka Tower. After visiting, you can descend from the other side and continue walking towards Fukuoka Tower. The streets along the way are quiet, and with the blue sky like in a manga, it's very picturesque.
✅Atago Bridge: Not really a tourist spot, but it's the estuary of the Muromi River with a wide view. Some people fish under the bridge. After crossing Atago Bridge, there's a coastal walking path where many locals jog.
✅Momochi Seaside Park: A section of artificial beach along the coast, the best angle to photograph Fukuoka Tower. Many young people gather and play beach volleyball here, and there are carp streamers fluttering in the wind. It's a very relaxing place, and the pier extending from the beach gives off a dazzling European vibe.
✅Fukuoka Tower: One of Fukuoka City's iconic buildings, built with 8,000 single-sided mirrors and a unique equilateral triangular shape, hence also known as the "Mirror Sail." However, from an intuitive perspective, I think it looks more like a skyscraper than a tower. Fukuoka Tower was built in 1989 to commemorate the "Asia-Pacific Expo" held that year. It stands 234 meters tall, making it the tallest seaside tower in Japan. From the 123-meter-high observation room, you can get a panoramic view of Fukuoka City and Hakata Bay.
✅Fukuoka City Museum: The main exhibition halls are on the second floor, including the Permanent Exhibition Room, Planning Exhibition Room, and Special Exhibition Room. The museum's treasure is the "Gold Seal of the King of Na of the Han Dynasty," a representative of early Sino-Japanese exchanges. What impressed me more was the huge float of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa in the hall.

If you have a little time, you can travel to Kyushu Island. 🛼🍇🍒🫧
#fukuoka FUKUOKA 3 days 👀🌈
That's right! We spent only 3 days in Fukuoka, but we fell in love with this city!
.
Kyushu is an island in the south of Japan. It takes about 5-6 hours to get there by #thaiairasia 🍒 flight. Since we went in July, which is the summer season, we chose brightly colored clothes that were comfortable and cool.
.
We stayed at KOKO HOTEL FUKUOKA TENJIN, which is very convenient to travel to. For us, we felt that the TENJIN area was the most suitable because this area is full of cafes, restaurants, a gathering place for Korean teenagers, and it is near the train station (the hotel is next to #donki, which is open 24 hours. It's so cool!)
.
For people with limited time like us, we recommend not going too far out of town because it will be too tiring. So we would like to share some great locations that are great for taking pictures 📸 and are easy to get to.
🌈 Momochihama Beach
You can take a bus to the beach. It takes only 25 minutes from Tenjin to watch the sunset. Plus, the photo spots are amazing. If you come with your lover, this beach is very romantic. Or if anyone has time, I recommend going up #Fukuokatower 🏙️🌇 too.
🌈Mojiko Beach
It takes about half a day, but it's worth it. I recommend buying the JR one day pass. It can be used with all JR in Kyushu (2 days). The highlight of Mojiko is the fish market and the European city. It's very beautiful. The fish market closes at 3 pm. I recommend going on Saturday and Sunday. It's delicious and fresh. The price is very good. 🍣
🌈Walk around Tenjin / Daimyo / Hakata
Every area is full of cafes, second-hand shops, and juicy restaurants. They're all close together. I'm so happy. There aren't many people. I don't have to squeeze with anyone. I can take a lot of pictures. It's worth it.
All of these are the places we went to in 3 days. It's worth it. It's not tiring at all. You can follow it easily. ^^
I'll recommend more cafes in ep.2. If you like it, please follow me.
Fukuoka's Popular Spot: Mutsukado, a Brunch Cafe Loved by Locals
I'd like to introduce 'Mutsukado,' a cafe in Hakata, Fukuoka, that is frequently visited by locals! I had already planned to visit, but after receiving a recommendation from the owner of my accommodation, I was even more determined to go :) Even though I visited in the morning, the tables were fully occupied. It's a great place for a morning brunch.
Mutsukado is located on the 5th floor of Amu Plaza at Hakata Station. It might be a bit confusing if you look at Google Maps, but once you enter the station, just take the escalator up to the 5th floor. It's a conveniently located cafe in Hakata, Fukuoka.
*Operating hours: Daily 10:00-20:00
Fukuoka... Japan on a Budget.
♥️Fukuoka♥️
Fukuoka is a city in Japan located on Kyushu Island. This city is one of the top destinations for tourists because the airfare from Thailand is quite affordable. Round-trip tickets can be as low as 5000-7000 baht if you're lucky. Accommodation and food costs are also reasonable, with ramen vending machines offering meals for just 290 yen. We didn't explore Fukuoka city extensively because we spent most of our time riding the trains. However, the time we spent in Fukuoka prefecture was enough to enjoy eating, sightseeing, and shopping.
⛩️Tourist Attractions⛩️
✨Nanzoin Temple
✨Kushida Shrine
✨Kitakyushu
✨Mojiko Port
✨Fukuoka Tower
✨Gion Festival (July)
✨Fish Market
✨Baseball Games
✨Shopping in Tenjin District
All of these attractions in Fukuoka city were enough for us to take photos and check in. And this is just one city! Japan is truly a fascinating country that we love.
It's like a flying hotel designed by Hayao Miyazaki!
If you've seen classic animations like Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, you've probably seen some airships from the last century, where you could see the sky through the metal framework inside the airship. However, since the Hindenburg disaster, these airships have been replaced by modern airplanes due to safety concerns.
The designer of the Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk has incorporated this style into the hotel's design, allowing guests to feel like they are flying in an airship while dining.
The hotel also features many unique designs, such as the 'Edge of the World' cloud sea view chapel, the 'Infinity' sea view bathroom, the 'Ten Mile Beach' dining room, and the giant dome sports-themed guest rooms. It's truly unique, which is why it remains a popular staycation hotel in Kyushu even after many years of operation.
Mitsui Garden Hotel Fukuoka Gion: Open-Air Baths, Canal City Hakata
Mitsui Garden Hotel Fukuoka Gion is meticulously designed to leave a lasting impression. In addition to its luxurious open-air baths, the hotel offers triple rooms that are perfect for family trips. The sumptuous buffet breakfast includes unlimited seafood bowls and mentaiko, making it the best choice for accommodation in Fukuoka! The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 7-minute walk from JR Hakata Station and only a 1-minute walk to the shopping haven of Canal City Hakata. It's the perfect hotel for relaxing after a shopping spree!
Hotel Recommendations Around Fukuoka Hakata 2
Blossom Premier Hakata is another hotel that I find 'stylish', 'comfortable', and 'affordable'. The lobby is themed around Kyushu's silk weaving, which is comparable to high-end 5-star hotels.
The location is very convenient, just a seven-minute walk from Hakata JR station. If you get hungry at night, the nearby Amu Plaza is also very convenient.
The hotel has a large bath on the 4th floor, but it is probably not hot spring water. 😅
As for the guest rooms, if you want to try the hotel's lounge, you can book a room on the 14th floor or above to enjoy the lounge facilities and beverages.
Experience luxurious comfort at a five-star hotel in the heart of Fukuoka City
Miyako Hotel Hakata is a modern luxury five-star hotel located in the center of Fukuoka City. Situated right in front of Hakata Station, this landmark hotel embodies the design concept of 'Nature, Water, and Sunlight.' The hotel is directly connected to the station, just a one-minute walk away. Despite its urban location, it offers resort-like luxury. The rooftop features a natural hot spring waterfall. The guest rooms boast comfortable open spaces and a leisurely, elegant modern Japanese design, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay.
2 nights 3 days mother and daughter Fukuoka trip✈️
The most memorable bus tour destination in Fukuoka and Yufuin hot spring town🩷 When you go with your mom, definitely sign up for a bus tour!! From morning to evening, the guide will show you all the sightseeing around the cities near Fukuoka, and the satisfaction is the best👍 Especially on the last day, to relieve the fatigue, I made a reservation at Yufuin Ryokan and went to 3 hot springs a day. It is a place famous for its good hot spring water, so my skin became soft and all my fatigue went away 😉
