Ouchi-juku
#wecreate #japan
Ouchi-juku was developed as a post town on the Shimotsuke Highway connecting Aizuwakamatsu castle town and Imaichi-juku during the Edo period. Since the Meiji era, railroads and national highways have largely been detoured, so the scenery of the olden days still remains, and people live their lives unchanged throughout the four seasons.

HANAMOMO-SO TO!!
Unplan trip to Hanamomo-no-Sato!! You all know , I donβt like crowded place and always try to look out for peaceful and remote places doesnβt matter how far I need to work ππ!! Then I came to know this little secret place. Is not so straightforward journey like other places . I need to take train from Sendai to Fukushima by JR line ( covered by JR pass ) , then change to local private line called Iizaka railway- 370 Β₯ one way (cute and very old local private train line - solely that small region) and took until terminal and walk about 20 mins to the place . But , they have small map to the place and along the road have signage to guide you the direction . When you are near, there were some volunteers guiding along the traffic. It was really local small place to enjoy late flowers . It will be very beautiful in few days time , even now was beautiful to me . Some colourful cherry plus peach flowers combined and the mountains background make me paradise!! And you donβt need to pay anything . They sell some local delicacies and I enjoy some tea and walk around , sat down and enjoy flowers and walked back to the station. It took me half day. And also a good place to have picnic with family or friends.See you all on the other side of the world ππ€!!

Iwaya Kannon of Fukushima prefecture
Iwaya Kannon is a temple rebuilt by Terumoto Mori. The hall is an important cultural property designated by the state. In the past, it was known as a place to pray for the safety of navigation, and now it is a place to pray for childbirth and safe delivery. It also appears in Naoya Shiga's work 'Dark Night Road'. It is located on the coast of the city and the view to and from the temple is amazing. You can also feel the waves of the sea from the temple. It could be peaceful.
Access - 40 minutes from JR Sanyo Shinkansen Fukuyama Station by Tomotetsu Bus bound for Abushi Rabbit, get off at Abushi Rabbit Kannon, 5 minutes on foot
See the changing leaves at Azuma Sports Park
Azuma Sports Park in Fukushima Prefecture is a beautiful place during the fall when the leaves change color. The leaves change into beautiful shades of red, orange, and yellow, giving the park a breathtaking atmosphere. Enjoy taking pictures. The temperature can drop during October to early November, so dress appropriately.

A Journey of Resilience, Beauty, and Hidden Treasures
#japantrip #japan #fukushima
Fukushima is a prefecture of deep contrasts, resilience, and natural beauty. While it is often associated with the 2011 earthquake and nuclear disaster, there is so much more to this region. It has made incredible strides in recovery, symbolizing the strength and spirit of its people. Beyond its history, Fukushima offers stunning landscapes, from the tranquil lakes of Urabandai to the picturesque Mount Azuma.
The region is also rich in cultural heritage, with historic samurai towns like Aizu-Wakamatsu, known for its castle and traditional crafts. Fukushimaβs hot springs (onsen) provide a peaceful escape, and its seasonal beauty is remarkableβespecially during cherry blossom season and autumn, when the foliage transforms the countryside into a sea of color.
In my view, Fukushima is a testament to renewal, blending its natural splendor, deep traditions, and a bright future. It's a place worth exploring for anyone interested in Japan's culture, landscapes, and the strength of its people.
"Small Stayable Revolving Stage mawari"
Nagano Ryokan
In Nagano Prefecture, you can consider staying in some local accommodations, such as ryokans, guesthouses, or modern hotels. For example, if you like traditional Japanese experiences, you can choose "Matsuya Ryokan", which is only 250 meters away from Zenkoji Temple. It offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami floors, green tea makers, and attached Western-style bathrooms, as well as public baths [^13^]. In addition, if you want a modern accommodation experience, you can consider "Chisun Grand Nagano", which is only a 5-minute walk from JR Nagano Station. It offers rooms with free WiFi, and the lobby also has free facilities.
In addition, some guesthouses and inns offer unique experiences, such as "SoBA HOUSE Azumino", which only accepts one group of guests a day, offers breakfast, dinner, and soba noodle making experience, and is a place that focuses on environmental protection and Japanese traditional culture.
There is also "SAUNA VILLA Zen", which offers a garden, free private parking, a terrace, and barbecue facilities. It is a 15-minute walk from Zenkoji Temple.
If you are looking for ski resort accommodation, you can consider "Hakuba Sierra Resort", which has a good reputation in Hakuba Village, offers wireless internet, flat-screen TVs, parking lots, and other facilities, and some rooms also offer massage bathtubs.
The Shirafudai Shrine
Visit Shirafu Daijingu Shrine in Shirafu, Fukushima Town. This is a medium-sized shrine about 100 meters from National Route 228, on top of a hill with a huge cypress tree. A beautiful brown first torii gate, stone steps made of round stones hardened with concrete, and a large onko tree. Turn left and see the second brown torii gate. The stone steps continue. From the Chozuya, turn right up the stone steps and when you reach the top, you will see a shrine building with a red roof. A small shrine with a red roof and walls has a stone staircase on the upper left. No company office.
I love Hanayashiki
#cherryblossom2024
I had an exciting adventure during our vacation when I visited the lively city of Japan. The spring season transformed the surroundings into a paradise, and walking around Hanayashiki brought a sense of rejuvenation. The breathtaking landscapes in this serene sanctuary left us in awe, offering unforgettable moments that we will always cherish.
Established in the year 1883, Hanayashiki has stood the test of time and continues to captivate visitors with its charm. Boasting approximately 20 rides, the park leans more towards evoking nostalgia rather than providing heart-pounding thrills β featuring iconic attractions such as Japan's oldest steel-track rollercoaster and a spine-chilling haunted house. While some rides have undergone enhancements throughout the years, the park's compact size limits the expansion of its offerings.
The ambiance at Hanayashiki exudes a palpable sense of nostalgia, transporting guests back to a bygone era. Amidst the aging structures, there is an underlying feeling of exuberant joy hideaway has left an indelible mark on my consciousness. The joy of revisiting and savoring every second in this extraordinary haven is truly unparalleled.#trip
Sakura Hidden Paradise of Hanamiyama
#cherryblossom2024
The works of people, the gifts of nature
Every spring, thousands of tourists come to Hanamiyama Park to see the amazing fruits of the labors of the Abe family, who opened their farmlands to the general public in 1959. Now visitors can admire the magical sakura and other flowering plants here.
How to get there
The park is a 15-minute bus ride from Fukushima Station.
During the cherry blossom season, Tohoku Shinkasen from Tokyo will take you to Fukushima Station. After a 15-minute bus ride, you will need to walk a little.
History
In the 1920s, the Abe family began to grow flowers for sale on the mountain slopes around the farm, and in 1959 allowed people to visit these places, setting up the magnificent Hanamiyama Park or "Flower Mountain". Since that time, three generations of the Abe family have continued to take care of the land and rejoice in the success of their plan.
A sea of flowers
Sakura, plum, and hydrangeas grow here⦠There are magnificent exhibitions of lilies and azaleas. In addition, ornamental trees and plants that are atypical for the nature of Japan have been planted.
Note to visitors
Information about walking trails and access for wheelchair users can be found at the stands.

Iβve visited here for a day trip the entire facility is high-grade. The bathroom and the changing room are huge. The water of all the indoor bath pools is added with chlorine. The bath room and water smells chlorine. The water of open air bath is 100% natural hot spring without circulation. The inflow of the water had slight sulfate smell. Overall, everything except the quality of hot spring was excellent.overall awesome

Fukushima trip in Autumn
In this travel I want introduce Ouchijuku, located twenty minutes south of Aizu-Wakamatsu.From Aizu-Wakamatsu Station, take the train down to Yunokamionsen Station. From here take the bus to Ouchijuku where you will be surrounded by massive hills. Ouchijuku sits on a plain full of rice patties and fields.
One of the main attractions is not the buildings but the views of the village from the lookout point. Walk up the steep steps to find yourself in a forest. Follow the path and you will find something amazing.
This view changes by the seasons but when I was here in late October the leaves were still green. Other than the darn hydro towers in the far distance, the view is worth a million bucks.

A real heaven Jododaira ππ₯°β°οΈ
#timetotravel
Situated at an elevation of 1600m, Joudodaira presents an array of landscapes β from desolate mountainsides covered in volcanic gravel, to wetlands dotted with marshes and ponds, to fields of alpine flowers.
Just one hour by car from Fukushima City, the visitor center, parking lots, mountain trails and nature sightseeing routes, and other facilities help you spend an enjoyable time in alpine nature at your leisure. At night, the star-filled sky makes Joudodaira one of the prime locations in Japan for night-sky observations. You can enjoy real astronomy at the telescope-equipped observatory.

Hanamiyama (θ±θ¦ε±±) is a park on the slopes surrounding a rural farming neighborhood just outside central Fukushima. Originally started by local farmers who planted ornamental plants and flowering trees on the hillsides around their land, the park was opened to the public in 1959 and has grown to be the city's top cherry blossom spot. Every year thousands of visitors flock to the area to admire its cherry blossoms.
The peak of the spring flowering season at Hanamiyama usually takes place from mid to late April, when the ubiquitous Somei Yoshino cherry trees open around the valley and can be enjoyed in combination with beautiful views of the Azuma Mountains off in the distance. Several other cherry varieties and flowering trees and bushes are also planted in large numbers around the slopes and provide visitors with a wide range of spring colors.

SKI RESORT DAIKURA β¨
My first snow was in Fukushima, Japan and I was given the opportunity to ride a sled at Ski Resort Daikura! βοΈ That was all my first time. It was already March 2013, but there was still thick Snow and huge Snow Storms in Fukushima, especially in Minamiaizu.
Want to Snowboard or Ski in Fukushima? Ski Resort Daikura is a great place to be! β·πΏπ

If youβre at Osaka, Japan and wanted to eat ramen, you must go to Fukushima. Take the JR train from Osaka station bound to Nishikujo and from the Osaka station, it is one station away only. Thereβs alot of ramen and tsuke-men restaurants here. I must recommend the Moeyo restaurant famous for their Shell and Duck flavor, Sanku restaurant for their Fish flavor and Jet ramen for chicken flavored ramen. Cheap but delicious!
