Beginners can just follow this itinerary! 🏠 Accommodation Recommendation | Wenchuan Yishe A guesthouse in a historic house with a fantastic location on Yantai Mountain✨ This new Chinese-style wabi-sabi courtyard, renovated from a century-old house, offers a quiet retreat amidst the bustle. It's serene and very comfortable. You're right on the popular streets of Yantai Mountain as soon as you step out, making it easy to walk to various spots—perfect for a relaxed trip. The amenities and overall experience are excellent. 📅 Day 1: Immersive Yantai Mountain exploration Check in during the afternoon and take some time to rest and take photos in the courtyard—it's elegant and perfect for traditional Chinese-style photos. When you're tired of walking, stop by Meili Coffee to rest. This little shop hidden in the alleys is a quiet place to relax away from the crowds. Along the street, you can also try the Xingfuqing Wangzha Oyster Cake, which has a crispy crust and is packed with fresh oyster flavor. Avoid the crowds and head to a quieter seaside spot instead. 📍 Hidden gem alternative: Fuqing Dongbi Island 11 km of coastal boardwalk, uncrowded and beautiful, with the same windmill and ocean views as Pingtan 🌊. The food was okay, but the wait was too long. 👉 If you go when it's not a holiday, the experience should be much better. 🍧 Food recommendations: · Fuqing Oyster Cake (Yizhong Branch): I've tried oyster cakes in both Fuqing and Pingtan, and Fuqing's are clearly better ✌️. · Yunji Sweet Potato Balls: The skin is made from tapioca starch and sweet potato, making it very chewy, and the filling is made with lean meat + seaweed. 💡 Tips: · Driving or taking a taxi is recommended; navigate directly to "Qiyin Shanhai" or follow the route in order. · Many restaurants in Fuqing are closed during holidays, so it's best to book in advance. · Bring the sun protection trio (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen). · If you have children, remember to bring sand-digging tools and a change of clothes. · Be sure to check the tide times using a tide table app before beachcombing.
