The popular free embroidery Onitsuka Tiger in Ginza🐯
# SHOPPING #100WAYS TO TRAVEL #Asics #Onitsukatiger #Tokyo Must Buy
In recent years, what running shoes are more popular than Onitsuka Tiger (OT) from Japan? In recent years, under the leadership of creative director Andrea Pompilio, ASICS has been hosting shows at Milan Fashion Week since 2022. It is not just about sneakers, it continues to add contemporary elements to clothing design, showing the integration of trends and Japanese culture, and has set off a craze around the world. 💕
🌟This "GINZA RED CONCEPT STORE" not only has trendy red designs from the outside to the inside, but also sells coffee on the first floor. There is also a whole floor of Japanese-made Onitsuka tigers on the first floor of the basement. The popular series Mexico 66 is available in various colors. You choose ~ Heelless casual shoes are also available!
🌟 Is this the end? No, what’s even more amazing is that this store in Ginza offers free embroidery, customization with 8 color threads and four alphanumeric combinations. The price is the same as other stores, but it can customize unique OT😍
🌟Because it is so popular, many styles and sizes are indeed sold out. It takes about 2 hours to wait for customized stitching and must be taken away on the same day; business hours are 11:00-20:00, so be sure to make sure you make the time👍

Warm and high-quality coffee among luxury goods
When I got tired of walking in Ginza, I saw a charcoal roasted coffee shop called "Rin" (Charcoal Roast Coffee RIN). It's an upstairs shop. Walking up the stairs, you'll find a warm wooden-toned cafe with a comfortable atmosphere. .
After sitting down, I ordered a caramel stewed egg, chocolate cream cake, a cup of mixed coffee, and a cup of Assam black tea. The coffee is brewed by hand. Cup after cup is arranged on the countertop, and each cup is very delicate.
The coffee is not sour in the mouth, has a deep roasted afternote, and is mellow in the mouth; the Assam black tea is not astringent in the mouth, has a full tea flavor, is simple and satisfying. On the other hand, tea cakes are relatively inferior, so you don’t need to order them.
I can't find the address on Trip.com, so I'll add it here.

“Ginza is one of the city’s top shopping districts, Ginza is packed with upmarket boutiques and ritzy cocktail and sushi bars. Fine jewelry is sold in the 1930s Wako Honkan department store, while ultramodern Ginza Place specializes in high-tech electronics. On weekends, main drag Chuo Dori becomes a stylish pedestrian promenade. Traditional Japanese dance and drama is staged at the landmark Kabuki-za theater.” ― Google

Carefree Sunday in Ginza
#cherryblossom2024 The Car-Free Sunday event in the main Ginza shopping district is a delightful urban oasis that transforms Tokyo's bustling streets into a lively pedestrian paradise. This innovative initiative breathes new life into the city, providing a refreshing break from the usual vehicular congestion and noise, and my experience there was nothing short of exhilarating.
As the roads closed to vehicles, the streets of Ginza quickly filled with an energetic buzz of people. It was a sight to behold—families, friends, and tourists alike taking over the asphalt, walking, laughing, and enjoying the rare freedom of a car-free zone in one of the world's most dynamic metropolitan areas. The atmosphere was one of pure joy and liberation, a communal reclaiming of public space that felt both revolutionary and deeply comforting.
One of the most memorable aspects of the day was the abundance of buskers and street performers who added a vibrant layer of culture and entertainment to the experience. From musicians and dancers to magicians and artists, these talented performers drew crowds of enthusiastic onlookers, creating pockets of celebration and shared appreciation throughout the district. Their presence not only entertained but also highlighted the rich tapestry of talent and creativity that thrives in Tokyo.
The transformation of the streets into pedestrian-only zones encouraged people to slow down and truly engage with their surroundings. The usual rush of city life was replaced by leisurely strolls, impromptu picnics, and casual conversations, fostering a sense of community and togetherness often lost in the urban hustle. The sight of people occupying the roads, lounging in temporary seating areas, and simply having fun was a heartwarming reminder of the simple pleasures that are accessible when we step away from our vehicles.
Moreover, Car-Free Sunday in Ginza offered a unique shopping and dining experience. Without the distraction and noise of cars, the elegant boutiques, flagship stores, and gourmet restaurants of the district seemed even more inviting. Pedestrians could freely explore the area's offerings, contributing to a vibrant and bustling marketplace atmosphere that benefited both visitors and local businesses alike.
In conclusion, Car-Free Sunday in the Ginza shopping district is a brilliant concept that provides a much-needed respite from the fast-paced city life, offering a glimpse into a more communal and environmentally friendly urban future. It's an initiative that not only enhances the pedestrian experience but also enriches the social and cultural fabric of Tokyo. The sense of community, enjoyment, and relaxation that permeated the event was truly uplifting, making it an experience that I would eagerly anticipate and recommend to anyone seeking to experience Tokyo in a new and refreshing light.
Ginza@Japan
Ginza is a popular shopping and dining area for Tokyoites. There are many department stores, trendy shops, restaurants, pubs, bars, and cafes in this area. Ginza is considered one of the most expensive areas in Japan. An area of approximately 1 square meter is worth 10 million yen, so the shops and restaurants in this area are extremely expensive. You can find a cup of coffee for 900 yen here. There are also brand name shops, high-end cosmetics, and leading fashion brands in this area. Most of the shops in this area are open every day, but on Saturdays and Sundays, Chuo Dori Street is quite crowded. This street is closed to pedestrians from 12:00 to 17:00 every Saturday and Sunday (April to September, the street is closed until 18:00). You can walk all day and never get bored. You will see new things on both sides of the street. I highly recommend this area for spending money.
