This time, under the guidance of German parents, we came to Friedenstein Castle (Schloss Friedenstein). This was our first visit to this world-famous medieval castle. Standing on the top of the mountain overlooking the entire city, the view is vast, and the magnificence of the castle itself makes me amazed. The castle is very well preserved, and the stone walls and the design of the interior of the building seem to take people back to the European era hundreds of years ago. It is a very large space with museums, exhibition halls and courtyards. It took us a whole afternoon to finish the tour, but we still felt that we had not finished. The only pity is that most of the exhibition information and text descriptions are in German, so I can't fully understand the historical stories. Even so, just feeling the architectural atmosphere and culture here is an unforgettable experience.
