Grand Canyon National Park Adventure: Helicopter Tour and Thrilling Cliffside Views
#nationalparks #100waysoftravel #grandcanyon #travelusa
Grand Canyon National Park is an iconic destination and a must-visit when exploring the western United States. Known for its immense size and breathtaking beauty, the park is home to the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon, a natural wonder carved by the Colorado River over millions of years. Its vast expanse stretches 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide, and over a mile deep, showcasing dramatic layers of red rock that tell the story of Earth's geological history.
We chose a helicopter tour to fully experience the grandeur of the canyon from above. Though rain almost led to its cancellation, we were fortunate the weather cleared, and the helicopter departed on time. The views from the sky were unforgettable, offering a bird's-eye perspective of the canyon's depth and scale.
On the ground, I attempted to take a photo at the cliff's edge, but the sheer drop was terrifying—I ended up crawling for a not-so-perfect shot, but the experience was well worth the thrill.

We had always dreamed of visiting the Grand Canyon, one of the most awe-inspiring natural wonders of the world, located in the state of Arizona, United States.
When we finally visited, no words can describe the overwhelming feeling we experienced as we beheld the Grand Canyon. It stretches approximately 277 miles (446 kilometers) in length, up to 18 miles (29 kilometers) in width, and reaches depths of over a mile (6,000 feet or 1,800 meters), right before our eyes. Its vastness far exceeded our expectations.
The Grand Canyon showcases a wide range of geological features and formations, including buttes, mesas, and rock layers that reveal millions of years of Earth's history. It also supports diverse ecosystems, from desert scrublands at the rim to pine forests in the higher elevations of the North Rim, providing habitat for numerous plant and animal species.
The Grand Canyon was carved over millions of years by the Colorado River and its tributaries, revealing layers of colorful sedimentary rock that provide a geological record spanning billions of years. It felt as though the artist known as 'nature' had spent billions of years creating this masterpiece, and it was truly an honor to witness the Grand Canyon in our lifetime.

Hiking In Grand Canyon South Rim
#gohiking
Grand Canyon South Rim is the ideal choice for a first visit to the Grand Canyon because it offers the most expansive views and the easiest scenic trail.
I did the Rim Trial as it the easiest trail with almost no elevation change and with breathtaking views of the canyon from above. It is also because one of the shuttle routes runs along this trail, and several shuttle stops are located at different points along the Rim Trail .
The Trail start from the Grand Canyon village and ends at Hermit Rest, but you can begin and end it at any of the shuttle stops. You can also hike the trail all the way to Hermits Rest, then get back to the trailhead by the shuttle bus.
This trail is highly recommended for everyone given it level of difficulty is low .

magical moments in the Grand Canyon!
if you’re thinking of a holiday of a lifetime, especially if you’re not a resident of the USA, then the El Tovar in the Grand Canyon National Park is an ideal location. Waking up to see the sun rise over one of the most iconic vista’s in the world, after a great nights sleep on a comfortable bed, is a life defining moment and I would recommend both the hotel and the early morning. This memory will stay with me forever. I recommend staying in one of the suites at the front of the hotel if your budget allows as the view never gets old or boring, and being able to sit and watch the sun going down with a glass of something fruity is a sublime experience too. #awesomepic #naturalwonders #grandcanyon #breathtakingview

Grand Canyon South Rim - another perspective
Another spot I have visited multiple times.
The Grand Canyon South Rim has not only a spectacular vista but some really good information centres and artefacts to view. This Rim is a little more set up than the West Rim with a decent sized gift shop and information centre.
I very much enjoyed being able to self drive here so that we could move along the Rim at our own speed. There is so much to see and do without going down in to the canyon itself. Sections of this Rim are fenced which is probably not a bad thing considering the number of people who visit, while other sections are completely open.
A short drive east of the main lookout is a fantastic artefact museum. It is only small but we spent a good hour looking around the different displays before moving on further east to an old village ruin.
Very fascinating and the cultural significance of the are is in abundance as you move along the different vantage points.
Love coming back to the South Rim time and time again.

Rocks 70 Million Years Old
no one knows exactly how old the #grandcanyon is. 👴🏻 a study suggests that the process may have started as far back as 70 million years ago! 🪨 the grand canyon was not as breath-taking as we imagined since we visited it last, but we still took a million photos of the same view. 📸 on the way back, we saw the night view of the #hooverdam which was pretty cool. 🦫

❤️Grand Canyon is bussing❤️
Grand Canyon National Park, in Arizona, is home to much of the immense Grand Canyon, with its layered bands of red rock revealing millions of years of geological history.
Grand Canyon National Park is a remarkable destination that draws in excess of 5 million visitors annually from around the globe.
Here are some of tips which I would like to share as I believe would enhance the whole experience -
✨Plan to enter the park on a weekday as weekends are particularly busy.
✨as it would crowded with long queue lines at the entrance , do consider Arrive at the entrance either before 10 A.M.
✨I went by car via south rim, the entrance fee is $35 per vehicle and is for 7 days. This is regardless of the no. of passengers in the car. So if 4 passengers , it will definitely be more worth. You do the math.
✨you can visit the view point by car, unless you prefer to hike, of course.
Overall it’s a great destination, see it to believe it 😍

Dawn illuminates the magnificent sunrise at the Grand Canyon.
In the early morning, walking along the edge of the Grand Canyon National Park, the surroundings are still quiet as the night fades away. The distant canyon is faintly visible, like a sleeping giant, quietly waiting for the first ray of dawn. The colors of the sky begin to change, from indigo to purple-red, then to orange-yellow, gradually blending together as if the heavens and the earth are merging at this moment.
As the sun slowly rises, golden light pours into the canyon, revealing the textures of the rock walls. Every ridge and groove is sculpted vividly by the light. The vast canyon is bathed in warm colors, with deep shadows and bright light intertwining to create a magnificent contrast that leaves one breathless.
Standing at the edge of the canyon, the magnificent scene unfolds like a painting. The light of the sunrise not only awakens the earth but also seems to awaken a sense of awe and tranquility within. The morning light of the Grand Canyon is a grand symphony of nature, moving one to marvel at its beauty.

A quieter Grand Canyon
At the height of the summer Grand Canyon village can become overwhelmingly busy with bus loads of tourists arriving from Las Vegas and beyond.
For a moment of quieter contemplation whilst viewing the spectacular natural scenery, heading to the east and the Desert view watchtower may be the perfect answer.
Not only do you get a spectacular view over the canyon especially looking west at sunset but you can also visit the tower itself to gain another perspective. Entry is free, but you must pick up a ticket for a timed entry.

The Beauty of the Grand Canyon's Snowy Landscape
In winter, the Grand Canyon National Park in the United States transforms into a spectacular snowy scene. The white snow covering the canyon's rocks creates a stunning visual contrast, showcasing a different kind of enchanting beauty of this famous geological wonder. 👍👍

This is my third time to the Grand Canyon in the United States. This time I chose to stay in the scenic area for one night. Not only did I have plenty of time to visit the viewing points on both sides, but I could also enjoy the sunrise and sunset of the Grand Canyon.
The hotel I chose was Bright Angel Lodge. The location is very good, right next to the Grand Canyon, and very close to the starting point of the red line shuttle.
That evening, I arrived at Hopi Point before sunset. This is the best place to watch the sunset. After sunset, there were several red line shuttles waiting to take tourists back.
The next morning, I drove less than ten minutes to Mather Point to watch the sunrise. I was lucky this time. The morning glow before sunrise was brilliant and colorful, which was amazing!
The cabin conditions of Bright Angel Lodge are okay, but the price is a bit expensive. The room is not soundproof, but I feel that the guests in the hotel are trying to keep quiet and do not want to disturb others. It's just that the toilet noise is a bit loud.

The Grand Canyon
is located in the northwest of Arizona, stretching about 450 km in length and reaching a depth of approximately 1.6 km.
It is the largest canyon in the world ✨
The red-brown rock formations, said to represent 2 billion years of geological history,
create a landscape that is truly Earth's natural art!
To visit the Grand Canyon,
we recommend combining it with a trip to Las Vegas ☝🏽
We took a Cessna tour to the Grand Canyon!
The weather was so rough that the Cessna shook violently 🤣
But we were very satisfied because we got to see
beautiful scenery from above that can only be seen from the sky, as shown in photo 4 🥹
⭐︎ Recommended tourist seasons
Late spring in May and June, and early autumn in September are the most comfortable times to visit!
The temperature can drop significantly in the mornings and evenings, so it's a good idea to bring a jacket ◎
Be sure to visit along with Las Vegas!
