Only one night staying here before flying away. The room was nice and clean. Beds were really comfy. No bathrobe provided though. There are shuttle service between DFW airport and the hotel which is convince. Over all is good.

Nice Space to relax before your flight
The centurion lounge at DFW is at Terminal D and is a good place to relax and grab a bite to eat before your flight. There's also a bar available for alcoholic beverages.
The lounge can get crowded, especially during meal times so be prepared for a line up for food. The toilets are also quite nicely designed but they too can be crowded during busy times.
Overall a nice place to enjoy something to eat and a drink before your flight. However try to avoid crowded times as finding a quiet corner can be challenging.

Spacious and convenient stay near DFW
The Hyatt Place is a 10 min drive from DFW and offers a complimentary shuttle service at every half hour. This is a convenient service as you simply call the hotel and they will arrange to pick you up at your designated terminal at the arrivals area.
The hotel has spacious, albeit a bit dated rooms. The rooms offer a living area, which is a good separation of space. There's also a small gym and swimming pool on site.
Breakfast is also included and consists of a buffet style. It was a hot breakfast with eggs and sausages, which was a nice touch.
I really valued how convenient it was to DFW airport as I needed something close. It was especially nice that there was the shuttle service as well as breakfast included. It was a good stay and had everything I needed for this short stay.

Game Night Retreat in Grapevine🏆
If you want a sports night in Grapevine where you actually do something instead of just yelling at the TV, Crush It! Sports Lounge is built for that. This spot is all about bookable experiences like multi-sport simulators (you can play virtual sports on a MultiSport simulator setup) plus duckpin bowling and social darts, with food and drinks available on-site.
Their duckpin setup has six lanes, and the simulator bays are designed for groups, so it’s an easy pick for birthdays, team hangs, and “we need a fun plan that isn’t another sit-down dinner” energy.

Capital One Lounge
#AirportLounge
I recently had the opportunity to visit the Capital One Lounge at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), widely considered one of the best lounges in the US. Upon entering, I immediately understood why it's so highly praised.
The atmosphere is modern, spacious, and well-organized. There are work areas, relaxation zones, and a proper dining area – not just a simple buffet counter. The food is high-quality, beautifully presented, and includes hot dishes, snacks, freshly baked goods, and desserts. The taste exceeded expectations, especially the dishes prepared fresh in the open kitchen.
The beverage selection is comprehensive, including specialty coffees, quality teas, cocktails, and wine. The staff is attentive and detail-oriented. The dining tables are clean, and the atmosphere is more like a premium café than an airport lounge.
If you're arriving at DFW and have access to the Capital One Lounge, I highly recommend it. The experience is distinctly different from typical lounges, both in terms of food quality and atmosphere. It's truly worth the wait for your flight.

Traditional airline fares, budget airline experience…! Unboxing the American Airlines B737-800
#JanuaryDestinations2026 Compared to Delta's 737, it not only lacks a TV screen but also in-flight Wi-Fi... a huge loss! The snacks were also very ordinary... On the bright side, the drinks were very generously sized! The plane was also unusually new! If I had to give it a score, I'd give it 60/100. Nothing memorable, just a safe flight to my destination. If I were to fly with them again... I encourage everyone to consider it carefully before buying!

No wonder it's called the world's best economy class! My first experience with Japan Airlines' A350-1000!
#JanuaryDestinations2026 Absolutely amazing! This time, flying with Japan Airlines was incredibly well-managed from boarding to disembarking. They even provided nutrition labels and meal descriptions with the food! A "must-try" on JAL flights: miso soup!

Christmas Capital of Texas

The most Christmas-y town in Texas is Grapevine. The whole city is full of different activities.
One of the best things you can do (and it’s FREE) is visit the historic downtown where the shops go all out with decor and the city puts up so many different photo opps.
The day time look and nighttime look are completely different but equally beautiful.
Tip: This place gets packed no matter when you go. For the least crowds go late at night.
